    Car: 300ZX TT 89

My AFM is intermittant. I borrowed a known good AFM for a few weeks and the car ran great. (Thanks again Tim!)

I've since purchased two AFM's from a guy on this forum but both of these have made the car run horrible - rich, bad idle & lots of smoke(rich).

So what might the problem be? Is the non-turbo AFM different to the TT AFM?

    Thanks

    Mass Air Flow Meter compatibility

The mass air flow meter (MAF) is compatible for both TT and NA models.

Often problems are due to pin recession in the connector, so it would be worth checking the plug for pin movement.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, it would seem your recently purchased MAFs are suspect.
