Tomorrow I'm having a look at a drivers seat for sale, supposedly as new. It is electric and coming out of a 2 seater. I intend, if possible, to fit it into my 2+2 which has non electric seats. Any advice on how, or if, this conversion will work would be appreciated.
It will work just fine IF you have the electric seat wiring harness, however, if you don't, you will obviously have to wire it in yourself.
Yep, as Chili said it will work but you will likely have to run wires for the power. My 2+2 NA didn't have the harness there. And the seat will bolt straight up, no problems there. You will notice the differance in weight though
Yes the seat will bolt straight up, no problems there. But if you fit the seat and don't do the electrical wiring required to get power to the motors, I don't think you will be able to move the seat back and forth. Something to consider.
