There's no market for zeds in general these days. Look at all the good TTs for sale here and they still won't sell after 6 months.

NA market is ok if you put it on carsales and flog it to a P plater. P plate market is good for sports cars. be prepared for low ballers though.

If you put it up at the right price (most importantly) and find the right buyer it will sell. I had buyers lined up for both the MX5 and the V35 and they both came within 2 days of each other. In the end I kept the MX5 and that P plate buyer was pretty devo.

Skyline was listed at $10k first, no enquiries. Dropped to $9k, 1 enquiry per month. Dropped to $8k, enquiries poured in and I sold it to the best buyer who came with cash in hand. Get the right price point and it'll sell.

Swaps are a good way to get new cars in the same price range or higher if you add cash, however you will really struggle to swap a NA for a TT. Anyone that has a TT will not want an NA. You best bet would be to sell/swap the NA for a car that can be easily sold then save a buy a TT

Or keep the na. Find a $1500 tt special and do an engine conversion.

Flog off all the remaining tt body parts, sell the gearbox that it has. Recoup some costs. Sell the na for $500 and reap the rewards.

That's my game plan. Especially after all the hours and parts I've poured into it. Just waiting for that $1000 special to turn up. Unfortunately adelaide sucks unicorn balls for having awesome special deals.

    what he said.

but i would buy a half cut.

market for a NA engine... HUUUUGE.. and people saying that NA engines are worthless... ive sold both of mine for $500 easily. also gearboxes are easy to sell (both NA and TT) as silvia's and 180 owners froth over them.

half cut would cost you about 2k-3k depending on who you go though.

keeping in mid you will have EVERYTHING you need to do the conversion including loom, ecu, gearbox (dont deal with the starter motor and fly wheel not lining up, sell the NA box), brakes, etc

    selling NA parts.
    -AFM - $100
    -NA brakes $100
-NA engine - $500 (z shop [VIC]) they have about 300 cars worth of parts, about 5 TT engines and 0 NA engines.
-NA gearbox - $600 (alpha omega parts and services [NSW])
    -ecu - $80

plus all your TT spares from your half cut.

yes it is more work but you keep your series 2 zed and you know the condition of the car itself

    my 2c.

2-3K can buy you complete TT's these days.

I would aim for a complete vehicle over a half cut. That way you have everything and some.

Ianzx as you see on here the N/A has all the nice things done to it,
I got a TT in vic for 2.5K but needs lots of things fixed although the engine drives great
TTs are so cheap these days swapping all those parts over is a PITA
