Just reading around a couple of wheel alignment threads. Some have fitted adjustable rear upper arms to correct/add camber, fair enough and I get that. On my import '90 NA 2+0, the stock rear upper arms have eccentric adjusters at the inner end. They look mighty factory to me. so stock in fact that I damaged the eccentric washer when removing them recently. I discovered these when rattling the pivot bolts out rather than the nuts which buggered the locating tab on eccentric washer.........arrrgh! I wondered why the rattle gun struggled then suddenly spun up!!! Are they adjustable stock on some models or would these have been retro-fitted at some stage? (In which case someone should be applauded for workmanship)! L8r E
Thats standard E, i must confess i did rattle gun the first one i ver took apart and buggered the locating tab. The adjustment works fine but its not enough when the car is lowered and bushes sag. I still prefer stock over aftermarket arms
Ahhh Ok. Thanks Niall. You were a bit quick for me and posted in front and answered my next questions! L8r E
camber Even with the stock adjustment I added 10 - 12 mm in length to my adjustable camber arms and ende up with 0 deg. camber on rear Thats on stock springs not lowered just sagged Andy
