Hey guys, quick question. Just fitting some new RUCA's while my subframe is out, and noticed for some reason i have a nolathene bush on one side, and not the other (no idea why!). Now that i fitted both up ive realised that the side with the stock bush has alot of 'slop'. Its like the jaw of the RUCA is either too wide, or there is ment to be spacers on each side of the bush. I can move the hub from side to side, just moving on the bolt. The nolathene on appears to have material on each side of the bush, whereas the stock dosnt. Either that, or the stock just has excessive play from being old. Does anyone know what I am missing here, or if i need to have nolathene bushes? Dont want to put everything back in till ive made sure its ok. Can upload photos if my description dosnt make sense.. Cheers!
Hey Matey Yep photos are ideally needed here There cant be any play at all - otherwise your toe is being effected - slightly being a pivot point strange that you have different bushes - can you add washers to take up the slack - otherwise yep you need the same bushes remember that aftermarket rucas are made in a jig that may not be the same size down to the mm - check the ruca against the stock to see if they are identical - this can help diagnose problem Cheer JC
Mmm ok, hopefully these work. Im no idea why they are diffrent, ive noticed this a few times, one side done but not the other. Dammit, hopefully someone in perth stocks these! Edit, ok photos are no go. For now, these are the links. Sorry! https://flic.kr/p/mE4FiQ https://flic.kr/p/mE3c68
Thanks for posting that for me! The new RUCA is only about 1/2 a mm wider then stock, barley notable. Maybe i need to source a new bush?
