    Hi everyone,

With this insane 40+ heat we have coming up here, my air con is buggered.
Not knowing much at all about how everything works, took it to Unley Nissan to run a diagnosis but because of the R12 system they won't touch it.

They suggested an air con specialist to have a look over to either clean it all out or convert to R134.

Does anyone know any good places this can be done in Adelaide? And not cost thousands...

    Cheers guys

Most auto electrician places should be able to check and re gas the system and for a retro fit (changing the gas to R134) you will need to change the receiver dryer (canister thing under the nose panel) and the fittings will need adapters but an auto electrician should be able to handle all that.

    do a quick search.

Zcar91 did a write up on what is needed to convert, he went to the effort to print it out for me, only to find mine is 134a!

I would not suggest doing it yourself, but getting parts. and taking it to someone. i wuold also get the O-rings done too.
