I'd reckon itd be the PTU. Got a datascan cable/software?

Got a Pod, was raining at the time too. I don't have datascan sadly. Any way to prevent that other than driving in the rain?

yeah i got one too, im in belco area.

to prevent it happening, you will need to make up a sheild of some sort. this will also help stop water going into your engine.

Thanks for the replies. I'm working all day in fyshwick. If anyones passing through the area, if it's out of the way don't worry about it. the stalling has stopped (perhaps it dried out?) starting up still shudders a little. Not a clue what any of it means.

This shield, do you mean around the pod?

yes, the sheld to prevent water going into it. do it sooner rather than later, else you will be looking for a new MAF sensor.
wont be going to fyshwick today, im accaully kinda suprise you are working today.

Yeah i do security. So work is every day. Do you have a pic of the pod filter shield? Can't picture how it would shield water but keep airflow

Heres the set up in my NA Auto with stock splash guards, seems to work perfectly in rain.

As you can see theres a bit of moisture around the sides but its never seemed to affect anything.

    hey mate :)

i still reckon its your AAC valve (IACV unit). The one on the back of plenum i pointed out when u came round.

Search tech section on iacv. Read symptoms.

I had the same tthing, on both zeds, cleaning up that idle valve fixed it on both.

If u print out the step-by-step, its easy. Takes about 2 hours to do it. i reckon try it out. Worst case, problem still there but the idle unit is clean and u know for good it wont cause problems :)

symptoms on the manual were when i put the clutch in while driving the revs would fall past idle and either catch get up to idle, or stall.

On the auto it only happenned a few times. When the revs were up and i stopped accelerating started braking, the revs would come down sometimes go past idle and almost stall unless i gave it a bit of rev as it got too low.

Cheers attila :) I'll try to do both. Because it was happening when i had splash guards too. I'll get on it when I've got a day off
