this has prolly been posted before but I dont care this vid is great, makes you respect F1. http://youtube.com/watch?v=ORs-8GT6SMU
still good If it's the one i'm thinking of... Was posted approximately 6 months ago....... A very moving tribute. Still can't get over the guy trying to save the other drive from the burning inferno. Fate
Yeah, that was very sad Evanescence's 'My Immortal' always brings a tear to my eye. More so with this footage.
call me a girl but i cried DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED AT ONE POINT...... this is when i started to cry by the way as soon as it showed the scene where its the start of the race and when the lights go green the car just doesn't move..... and it gets hit from behind....there are people standing there and then the car randomly starts alight....he is just sitting in the car and cant get out...and they try and put it out but they cant, it just spreads and spreads and spreads i dunno......the video was more emotion than what i described
yeah i reckon they would have been standing there for about a minute just doing the routine stuff to see if they are ok and then it just lit up
That was a hard video to watch. I think its possibly the mood that the music sets up. I had seen some of the footage before. I used the Senna crash in a presentation I did on Aerodynamics of racing cars back in highschool. But that clip of the marshall getting hit by the car almost made me want to stop watching.
I think the guy was knocked unconscious so thats why he just didn't jump. Goes to show how much safety has become a focus point and standards are much higher.
I watched tha vid a while back... It's heart aching watching the driver trying to save a fellow driver from the burning wreckage.
Hmm. It's very sad when anyone dies but if you strap yourself into a go kart and drive around a track at 300kph then you must be prepared to take the risk. I don't think that you can really call any F1 driver a hero, at the end of the day they are motivated by money and ego, they're not really doing anything heroic. As I said, it's terrible when anyone dies like that but there should be some perspective here. They had more fun than we're ever going to, they got paid more for it than we ever will. They may be awesome drivers, but... that's all.
I think a hero is defined by the way they contribute to the world and F1 drivers give people passion and drive other people to achive their goals so yeah in my books the great ones are heroes.
That vid gets me everytime.....specially as you just know its leading up to senna and the tears are slowly creeping out as it cuts in to the in car cam shot. Horrendous!
every scene in that clip happens in a matter of seconds. Ultimately they all understood the risks of what they were doing. Alot of people were heros in that clip particulary the fellow driver trying to push the car over on his own.....he could of just did nothing but instead risking his own life, thats being a hero. Really sad video. Good post for once im happy with a vid post from youtube....on ya champ!!!
WOW, Cant say Ive seen that Video before but it was really hard to watch! Some real graphic seens but some real tear jerker moments aswell.
