second thing ... is that im looking for new brakes... and im wondering if anyone has any suggestions that i could look into... i have 1993 300zx N/A...

billy, what do you mean by cut thermostat?

As for the brake upgrade Oleg, what's your budget? This could range from a couple of hundred for new pads and a brake master cylinder brace (have a search for that one). If you're after a budget overhaul of the brake system, might i suggest picking up a set of TT front brake calipers, buying a rebuild kit from www.cazracing.com or www.conceptzperformance.com. Then getting a set of the these http://www.cazracing.com.au/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=32&products_id=82 for example.
So for about 1100, 1200 bucks you could get a cheap set of TT calipers, rebuild them, replace all fluids, get a brake cylinder brace, get new pads and bigger rotors.

This is essentially what i'm working towards. If you decide to do the rebuild/reseal on some calipers, let me know as i've recently finished mine.

ps: if you do all the work yourself, you could sneak all this in for under a grand. See what the exchange rate is with Coz in the states at the time, might get the rotors a bit cheaper.

pps: also the big brake kit won't fit under the standard 16" wheels, just thought i'd add that too

Who on earth would do that? For racing or something so you've got constant coolant flow? Would have to be running bloody hot to necessetate i'd reckon lol

Its done so u don't have an operating thermostat, but the coolant is sufficiently slowed down to help with heat exchange as the coolant flows around the motor.
Can help a marginal overheat situation
