Hi everyone I'm at uni currently and am currently in debt for my car so i jsut want to lower my debt even if i lose money on the sale. It's a Midnight purple '96 model j-spec manual 2+2. I would be looking for around 11-12k but any offer will be considered as i really would like to sell asap. I spent 14k on it about 5 months back so dont want to go too low seeing as i also had to replace the clutch which was expensive haha. A couple of things that need fixing are: front bar needs 2 brackets which are missing i should be able to fix that tho. Rear speakers dont work again i can hopefully find some stock speakers to put in. dint on front right 1/4 panel been there since i bought it and looks like it would pop out easily i can get that fixed if needed. Any tests and inspections welcome. I will post up pics later just posting now to see if there is any interest. Only mod i have is a K&N air filter i still have the stock airbox so that can be put back in if needed. Im not sure how true this is but i heard new P laws will mean anyone caught driving high powered vehicle will get 3 demerit points and up to 1.1k fine so this would be good for any P platers cos itd be fully legal. thanks for the interest
ummm....just for the record, this car is fine for P platers. And yes i am in melb. And i know a girl looking to buy this exact car but seems the price is to deer for her which is fair enough as it is a 96series. If you where looking to sell it for 8k she would be interested so let me know if it gets to that stage

Yep thats right. 14k to buy and clutch costed about 1k to replace and it died a few days after i bought it. cos the car was not being used and the clutch had deteriorated. I'll try to get some pics up tonight.

question Hey thats pretty much the car im looking for. Problem is im from Sydney. Im just trying to work out my budget and wondering what excess fees there are on top of the sale price. Would I have to re-register it here in syd? Also does anyone know how much the Gov. charges are? (is it 5%?) Is there a transfer of ownership or something as well? appreciate any help, thanks.
Too bad you have to sell Dan. Now there's no Zed to keep mine company in the carpark at uni. All the other Zed's i know of park on the other side of uni... Car looks really good too. Absolutely stock except for the pod. Plus it's a late model Zed. Good luck with the sale man.
I just discussed with my parents and although they want the money back reasonably quickly they didnt like the idea of it selling for 11k. Sorry everyone but i have to say now that the minimum price is 12k. Which i believe is still reasonable since 14.7k was spent about 6-7 months ago when i bought the car, 14 for the car and then it needed a new clutch and the flywheel got machined. Very sorry if this has wasted anyones time but i really cant go lower than 12k.
