Hi guys, Looking to sell a '90 model 300ZX for one of our clients. It's had a huge amount of money spent on it over the last few years but he needs to sell it now. It's got: Black bodywork (excellent cond.), retrimmed interior in cream leather, Alpine stereo, Autometer gauges, turbos have been rebuilt, has Ford C4 auto with B&M shifter, Autronics ECU, RacingHart 19" rims with near new Falken 235/265 tyres. Rego'd until April '11. Currently not running - has electrical issue? He's looking for offers around $9000 but is negotiable. Yep, mine runs too, and I put one of those smelly trees in it the other week... so my car must have actually appreciated in value from when the original owner bought it
Hmm good luck.. but given what running cars ECUs and with aftermarket turbos go for I think you'll be lucky to get anywhere near $9k for a Z isn't running... How long has it been running since the turbs were recon'd/ECU? Maybe fix the electrical issue (for anyone thinking of buying can you explain if this is related to the Autroniics ECU, as I suspect?) and sell it after that. That is, unless you're willing to sell at a price that suits parting the car out?
why does everyone assume just because they have a z people are going to wet there pants and pay big money for just any one.. clearly for a Z to be worth 9g it would have had almost 15g spent on it and everything working fine. possibly even a rebuild not too many k's ago... the amount of these cars you see in car yards with 10k stuck on them and some of those are stock standard with shit loads of k's and probably wont drive too far down the road.. not having a go at anyone.. I just think that like most cars, what the books say they are worth and what they are in reality are two different things.. stil, im happy to say my car is worth 9k for insurance. doesnt mean i could sell it for that. I have been told i'm over oppinionated though o.0 ... now i've had my rant.. it does look like theres a bit of $'s spent on this one.. I still think Big Al's would have been a good car for what he was asking if you could save all the mods that he spent good money on.. *hey Al, I was one of the guys hassling you about your Z.. was real keen too... but a little over my budget
i know these guys do awesome work and this zed would be worth every cent. But please post pics to show the quality car this is.

Hi guys, Thanks for the feedback (good & bad!) Yes, we have some photos but not sure how to put them on here. If you're interested, email me like the others have & I'll pass them on to you too. As I said in the original post, the price is negotiable - $9K was what he was hoping for but we've told him to be flexible. The turbos were rebuilt at Per4Manz & the car hasn't been driven since - apart from some road tests etc while trying to sort out the electrical issues. It's not an Autronics problem - we've tried a couple of different ECUs in it to be sure. (Autronics we know - 300ZX wiring we don't!!)
Went and saw this car yesterday... Looks to be in really nice condition body wise albeit a veilside front bar . IMO just needs a little bit of a clean on the inside and a little tidying up of the engine bay, fix the electrical problem and it'd be a nice Z. GL with the sale guys!
