I am selling a 1989 Nissan 300ZX, 5 speed manual twin turbo 2+2, ?repairable write-off? ? it was tee-boned and the insurer wrote it off on the market value but it is legally repairable (I have a written quote from a local (Qld) repairer for around $2000). It was to be a project car for my son who has since decided to go and live somewhere else and buy a ute, and I don?t need another ZX.
It would still make a great project and would be even cheaper if you were prepared to do some of the work (removing panels, providing parts (I have already replaced the door) or could be parted out, which would be a shame as it drives fine, gets away and goes really quick and stops well. As you can see from the photos the driver?s door (replaced already), rear quarter panel and under door structure sustained most of the damage. The rest just needs some TLC.
It has 103000 k on the clock and was fully serviced, including platinum spark plugs and the timing belt service just before the accident. It has a number of unique features which add to its value, a $400 Nardi steering wheel, full 3? Kakimoto Racing exhaust system including the cats, with 3? cannons, 17? alloy wheels and new tyres, a Bomex fibreglass front bar (has some cracks but easily repairable), a 4 speaker Kenwood AM/FM stereo radio/CD player with Pioneer speakers. It is neat inside, just needing a good clean. I ran it today for the first time in 3 months and it started within half a turn. It is located on Bribie Island, just north of Brisbane and I will help if you need to transport it somewhere.
This could be a superb, inexpensive, high performance sports car again. It is listed on eBay and already has a bid of $3600. Will probably sell for around $4000
