So time to test the A/C

cant do that with climate control if the car thinks its -87 degrees outside lol...

is this just because i might have the plug at the front fitted? or is that an error code?

sure it wasnt on the reo bar? took it off not knowning what it was when reo bar came off... ross pointed one out yesterday on another shell (not on reo)

ok so that should solve that thing..... nothing to do with that buzzing little thing in the roof does it?

nuh, just the sensor. it bolts on underneath the reo bar and plugs in behind the FMIC. I'm not sure what usually's inside of it, but the plug of mine formerly clipped onto a cylindrical holder of some sort.

Is in the roof behind the map lights? Just pull the cover off and you will find the fan easily.

+1 to the connector on the front bar - it's your ambient (outside) temp sensor. I believe all cars have it, though in the S2 climate control, the display doesn't show the outside temp (obviously).

The fan in the roof is used to suck air over a temperature sensor (called a thermister) that looks a lot like a capacitor. This sensor is used by the Climate Control to sense the temperature of the cabin at head level.

If you want a fan that's been modifed and doesn't make any noise whatsoever, send member "dodgey" a pm and he'll likely charge a small fee to swap your fan over (i.e. swap your bodgey one with a good one, and he'll then fix your bodgey one).
