  1. about 2 weeks ago i had a bit of an accident in the wet and i ran up a gutter and into a bus sign pole and i smashed my front bar and all the grill the was in it holding my number plate in.. and i lost my number plate that was on the grill.. anyway i went for a cruise into town last week and i was parked and the police stopped and started interviewing me about why i didnt have a plate on the front.. and i told him why and he didnt really care what i had to say and he sat in the cop car going through his rule book for a good 10min tryin to book me.. then he gave me my license and said youl get a fine in the mail and sped off, i got it today, $60 BUT it says that he was booking me for not displaying plates front and rear and in addtionall info it says no plate on front..
do you rekon i should write in and complain or just pay it coz its $60??
im rego'd in QLD..and i thought it was ok to only have one displayed??
and for now unitl i have enough money to get my front bar fixed i just wrote my rego on a4 paper and stuck in my front mindscreen.. is it ok for me to do that or wil i get fined again?

    law says

you wust have one on each end (all states) It's so you can be ID'd-speed cameras etc. $60 sounds cheap, think it's a lot more than that in NSW.

  5. but..

bikes only have one number plate on the rear of the bike, so they wouldnt get caught by front on speed cameras etc etc?? or is that why cameras are always behind you??
