matt found a bike on ebay in adelaide going 3 grand cheaper over there than they are over here.. a 2-stroke aprilia rs250 well a few of you know that matt and i decided to drive to adelaide and back in one weekend.. yes we crazy mofos as adelaide is 2600kms away from us here in perth. heres some pics from the road trip.. and guess what.. we dont hate each other! falcon and pilot ready for trip... wheres matt?? alright ready to rock the way over mostly looked like this (pretty hairy doing 130ks an hour with roos lining the road watching you pass).. i ran over 5 rabbits.. they make an aweful noise when they run under the tyres.. the one that hit the muffler sounded funny.. suicidal bastards.. few close calls with the roos too.. falcon got back unscathed though.. although i wont be driving across the nullabor at night again in a hurry we reached the border at approx 1am WST (getting pretty tired) this is actually me standing in WA taking a leak on SA.. but stupid SA sign was too bright and confused my camera who the hell names a town after their penile implant? matt and i found an awesome bunker that must have been placed by WA people to ambush the main supply route into adelaide just outside of iron knob we finally made it to adelaide, picked up the bike (shes fast, and sexy.. everything you need in a hot italian) so we made a quick stop in the city center.. we actually went across the road.. i swear.. to hungry georges.. fast food place with a liquor licence.. COOL! it was now about 9pm saturday night adelaide time.. we were in the heart of the city.. we heard a nightclub going off behind us.. there must have bin 3 people in it.. the streets were dead.. adelaide had just won the soccer yet everyone driving past in colours looked like they were gunna top emself the streets were dead.. our ute with the sexy italian on the back was the main attraction in the street.. even the coppas on horseback stopped for a geez.. i could say so many things about how shit adelaide is.. but ive written enough.. ill probably get flamed by the 2 zed adelaidians on here.. BUT YOUR CITY SUCKS anyway home time.. we decided to stay in port augusta 3 hours out of adelaide on saturday night as thgeir radio stations were cooler and people were less of a freak. (they play some really weird music on the radio in adleaide) i got fined for speeding.. 178 bucks for 15 over the limit.. WTF.. your cops obviously arent on strike.. spoke for 20 minutes about bikes and ebay and his new 6lt v8 SS commodore.. but no.. he still gave me the ticket.. bastard stopped at a motel in port augusta, the beds were shit.. but after 30 hours of driving damn i didnt care.. 4hours sleep.. back on the road saw pretty much this all the way home token pretty glamour shot of the bite matt riding the bike.. he wouldnt stay on there though for some reason back on the eyre hwy and home.. bike, minivan and mattz (oh and the ute) all home in one peice and very very tired.. we left 2pm friday arvo and got home 4am monday morn.. recommend it to anyone.. i didnt see a single Zed in SA.. lotsa commonwhores and rotaires though

I did something similar about 2 weeks ago. Flew down to Melbourne, bought my Zed and drove it back up to Cairns, around 3,100 km in 4 days. Even though I had my digital camera I wouldn't say the Newell Highway was at all picturesque, so did not take any photo's. The places I stayed at, Wagga Wagga, Narabri, Rockhampton never struck me as excitement centres. The only interesting thing was the hotel owner at Rockhampton who was keen to show me his 650hp Nissan GTR R33 project (Which he assured me will be 1000hp in a few weeks time). In the US they call places like Kansas "fly over country". I would classify central NSW and Queensland as similar territory.
Kangaroos never a problem for me on that run but old man emu that's another story. I swear every time I drive the Nullarbor all the emus between Coolgardie and Balladonia come out to seek revenge on me for taking out one of their clan back in '77!!!! Next Z road trip to WA? 2008 maybe .

The Bike is SHIT HOT But the trip was tough on your mental endurance (roo spotting drains the energy from your eyeballs especially at 170 thru roo country) but then again, the bike is shit hot so it's all good

haha... nah it was great.. sick of every song on chilli peppers greatest hits now though.. the ute is dedicated gas.. so no go there.. but theres LPG at nearly every road house.. we filled up at any that had it just incase.. plus the nullboor net has maps showing every lpg location fucking border village had LPG at 99.9 c/L theiving bastards

Well you obviosly need one mate Ummm, Adelaide has an awesome night life, it starts after 10pm like most cities, but unfortunatly for people like you it only has one gay club, but im sure you and your mate had enough fun on the way over. All said and done, nice bike.
