5 bolt dumps, can SR20 ones be modded to suit?

Looking on ebay there are a huge range of cheap 5 bolt dumps to suit an SR20, I know ages ago that Tekky was playing around with the idea of using them and only had a problem fitting the passengers side.

Just wondering if anyone has played around with modding some to suit the passengers side as well?

You can't clock the turbine housing because it bolts to the manifold. You would need to get the flange cut off and rewelded. Would be a little bit of work but simple enough.

Of course you can't, only an idiot, or someone really tired would think you could :p

Gave up on that idea and made my own. :)

Clocking the pipes on a SR20 dump flange to point the other way was too hard.

just made your own for the passengers side? Was the drivers side just a straight bolt on and extend the front pipes to meet it?

One side was close but it still needed to be rotated a bit. The other side was just WRONG.

I ended up making a set modeled off the CES ones. Think they are way better anyway.

I wouldnt bother now seeing the split dumps from z1 are so cheap.

Back then cheapish dumps like those didnt exist. The GB I ran on the CES copies they where still $500 a set by the time i made em.

just looking on ebay I can get S15 ones for $75- $90 each, if I just have to cut the flange and roate them, then re TIG seems like I could come out a fair way in front, especially if I can pick up some S15 ones second hand
