    Why am I not surprised? :D :p

I think a 350 section would be great nothing wrong with expanding. Congrats on the 350 pics or ban, also a visit by Ugame may occur. :D

I agree. The 350Z is getting a growing following, and it seems the poor little fellows have no where to go :(

A 350Z section would be nice, both for owners, and for those slowley learning to respect the car ;)

I'm with chili on this one. We don't have a Z31 section on this forum even though they share the 300zx name, I don't see why it should be any different for the 350Z..

Nice purchase any way, I'd like to get another Z someday! :zlove: Any comments on how you find they compare/differ?

lol... chili the punctuation police man.... old people care to much about pointless things...

My 300zx is NA so power difference is massive... im liking the traction control its like having your mum in the car telling you to be carefull :)

its feels so new compared to the 300zx despite my nice interior on the 300. going from a 2+2 to a 2seater is bit weird too but im getting use to it... handling is much better and it definately gets more looks. maybe because im still a p-plater in a nice car... :)

Z31s have their own forums dont they?

the Z33 has nothing in aus. only 1 or 2 american based forums with only like 1 or 2 posts a day.. would be nice if there was some support in aus.

Actually you have a point there.

Is there a diferent Aussie Run "Multi Zed" forum around?

    Shame if not.

Maybe a sister site would be an option?

Why do a sister site? This forum is a great place for technical advice, and a lot of people go from the Z31 to the Z32 to the Z33, so why not add a 350 section?

They would just have to come with a new banner and new domain name, so not a huge deal.

www.auszed.com is available. Maybe I should buy it quickly (jk)

no im FOR a 350z section, im just offering "sister site" as an alternative as there is much oposition to the 350z section idea.

I was just agreeing with the fact that we didn't bow to pressure to have a Z31 section, so why do one for the 350z? It wouldn't be fair.

Hmmm... maybe this needs a new thread in the admin section?

Wooow... Will You Am, tell me tell me, what's it like to drive.
It'd be lighter than a Zed... is it nice and punchy??

Go for it Chris. You've been around longer than me, so your chances of getting heckled\booted\spat on are better than mine ;)

    I agree.

Even the domain name itself proves that having a 350z section on this site is bad idea. But I'm not anti an aus350z.com :p

Having said that, I can't help but feel that the lack of interest so far in modding the 350z has to do with the type of drivers it has attracted so far. Of all the 350s I see on a daily basis driving around, I can only think of one that is visibly modded. Most look stock as a rock. Realistically, how many 300s back in 1997 were heavily modded?

Having said that, even I'm starting to come around to 350s and when they are cheaper - sure, I might even pick one up. I say that basically because I'd want to buy it and do everything straight away - rather than drip feed mods /repairs like I'm currently doing. It would be nice having a newish car, thats for sure...

definately lots of power. and its quite evenly spread you feel pull in every gear 2k rpm and up. my mate has a 11 sec evo 9 and i took him for a drive... he freked out saying it seems like a fun car to drive and couldnt believe the power.

So apparently do you Will(Oh, and that was Spelling correction, not Punctuation).:p:biggrin:
Seriously, I'm very happy for you to have purchased a 350Z, but that doesn't justify starting a 350Z Section on this forum in my personal opinion(others may differ).

No matter how much a 350Z may lift the bar for NA Zeds, it will never approach the exhilaration of pushing the limits in a 300ZXTT, and that is what has made the Z32 a "cult car" amongst Zed cars(in the same manner that 240/260Z's stand out from other Zed models).
Just as in most other cars, building a "NEW" model doesn't guarantee that it will be seen as an improvement by those people that are the target buyers.
My first Zed was a 260z 2+2(my second is my current 300ZXTT 2+2) I never had the slightest desire to sample any of the in between models because they just didn't appeal to me in the same way.
The 350Z has the same lack of appeal(for me personally).:zlove:

OK! Time for some pics, youngster.

Congrats on the new ride but I agree with chili. This site was created for the Z32 and it's enthusiasts. Not the 350z. It doesn't make sense adding 350 stuff. I would hate that to happen.

Is this forum all about modding though?

Much of this forum and the tech section is about normal running, purchasing advice, maintenance, etc etc not to mention getting to know other owners, join cruises, swap ideas blah blah blah.

its not all about modding, even for the Z32's on here.

I just always assumed there MUST be good 350z forums out there. Guess I was wrong.
Plus modding for the 350's does exist and I think will become more prevalent as the purchase price of the car drops further into the range most modders can afford (ie bugger all ;) )

Im still not 100% for JUST a 350Z "section".

I think personally I'd like to see some kind of push to "unite" the Zed community as a whole.

    240, 260, 280, Z31, Z32, Z33, and now the Z34.

While starting another "ausZed.com.au" site would be an option, this site we have here already has its own gravity. People come here regardless of what Z they drive, because its a damn good forum, with excellent information, and a good sense of community.

Maybe even just a "other zeds" section would be a start?
