I need to sell my Zed as i've run into a bit of money trouble, i've been selling a few parts off it lately but the situations gotten a bit worse. I've owned this car for about 5 years and have spent a lot of money on it.

Rego till feb, sorry i will not be supplying a rwc.

Its been my daily on and off for about 3 of those years and have done about 50,000km since i bought it.

I had the engine replaced with one i bought from Tektrader about 3 months after i got the car and at the time had done a claimed 60,000km(Now 111,xxx). Graham (Tektrader) did the swap, as well as new engine mounts, 100k service, radiator flushed, and a few other things that i can't remember because I've lost the list. The engine also had already had a plenum pull done with all the relevant work plus more by Joe Imbessi at an apparent cost of $4000.

The car has a fresh respray done about 3 years ago due to my car be key'd. At the time both front guards, the front bumper and the hatch were repaired. It's was a very cheap paint job, but the car does look decent.

Due to needing to sell parts for cash the bonnet, front bar and hatch could do with a respray now.

Engine is strong, had a Microtech LT12s ECU tuned to 246rwkw @ 12.5psi (this was before the AVCR and FMIC) has never missed a beat since replaced and serviced every 5000km

Excelent fuel economy, i get 500+kms out of a tank.

Not currently being drivin as the Tailshaft center bearing is gone, can still be taken on a test drive but will need to be fixed strait away.

I'm sure there are more things but i just can't remember right now.


Bad points:

3rd brake light panel cracked
Rims have been sprayed black and not well but still looks ok
Heater core bypassed as leaking
Needs a NA speed sensor (speedo out by 10%)
Needs a Tailshaft center bearing (i recomend a one piece for around $300)
Horn not working
Nose panel damaged

Comes with any spares i have(Hiro spoiler, rear calipers and a bunch of other stuff).

If you add the mods and the work Graham did plus the respray i've probably spent well over $20,000 on the car.

I need this gone quick and will take first reasonable offer.

This makes me want to sell my n/a in a hurry and buy this... too bad your all the way down in vic and I'm a bit too busy to be selling my car

Very nice looking Z , I really like the black bonnet and black wheels and the black spoiler really finishes it off nicely . I hope mine ends up looking as good as this one .

That's my old Microtech! It must have a nice tune in it to get that kind of fuel economy so props to that!

Hi Sammy. I am in the hunt for a manual TT. I have no experience with replacing a tailshaft bearing...is this much of an ordeal? fairly straight forward?

 

Best option would be to get a replacement 1 piece for under $400.
Easy enough to do, just a few bolts.
Getting it fixed will probably cost you $200ish at a guess.

 

well you can put it in upside down but the shaft will be at a big angle so you can tell it is wrong
