Hey just wondering if anyone could tell me how many kws a stock 300zx TT would make? And what would be the first Mod for more performance cheers.
power and mods ok first up, power was rated at 206kw at the flywheel, as that was the agreed "maximum" power in japan at the time.........it has been debated wether the car made more than that factory, but thats the official nissan power figure first mods pod filter, cat back exhaust dump pipes and high flow cats then bigger intercoolers boost upgrade dyno tune that should get you started
also hutchie dont be afraid to use thhe search function, your questions have been asked before and the info is already there for you to find if you look
Thanks mate for the reply thats not too bad for a stock engine. I just bought a 300zx TT form interstate waiting for it to get here so looking forward to spending some cash on it. 100km service first as it had 95000km on the clock
1stly you should do the 100K service, change as my hoses as you can and a radiator flush too. After that is done you can start on the mods: -Pod filter -Turbo-back exhaust - FMIC or SMIC intercoolers - Boost controller - ECU chipped that should get you inbetween 230-255 rwkw depending on engine condition a stock TT should have 170-190 max rwkw if in excellent condition
When my 300zx was 100% stock it make 174kw it had 165000kn on it then, ive spend bout 1grand on it , putting on pod, fmic and EBC now it makes 220kw with no pinging
Hey are good results for a 1989 - 1994 car. Still hoping to get the car before the weekend - Yeah the major service i will get done in the next few weeks - $2g its going to cost me.
Just buy this mate good price too FMIC's are the best any way I donno whats with these people wanting to remove them and fit SMIC's http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=285537 Imo at the endo of they day they both do the same thing the FIMIC looks great if you want it visible and if you want sleeper styles go for the SMIC
get a boost contorller before you get a intercooler stock coolers are still good for up to 14 psi so I have heard. An aftermarket intercooler with stock boost levels will do sweet fk all.
Dont forget an aftermarket temp gauge - the first mod i would do and a must in a zed for new owners especially. The stock gauge is inaccurate and wont tell you youre running hot until you get well into overheating territory!
Listen to this bloke !!!! mine over heated a good 30 times going of the gauge a good 5 times now I have no engine left Temp gauge is a must
