Are you able to do Black Velour Loop Pile (not crush pile or plush pile)?

Would the price be the same as the vinyl ?

Also, is there any durability advantage of leather over the vinyl, and have you found that in high temps the vinyl or other materials peel or fade?

Heres mine about 3/4 done

This is a really hard job to do properly guys.

I have used almost two cans of 3M adhesive so far (3M #76 at $20 a can)

In the two seater the covers behind the drivers seats are a bitch. You actually have to pull all the staples out to separate the bits before covering them.

But dont it look cool.

One trick is to wait a good ten minutes before trying to stick the contact together. The ones I did too quick didnt stick as good.

 

And by the way Mr interior Magic

Your brake boot does'nt fit even close.

You should get a a stock one and pull it apart and use that for a template, cause the one you supply isnt cut correctly and there isnt enough material!

 

Don't people own scissors?

Don't people own scissors? I mean how hard is it to buy the vinyl by the meter and cut out the pieces you need. I bought 2-3 meters of stuff from the local trim shop and have over half of it left.

Not that hard to do people and supports local business.

bad away tektrader69, nice job. it's coming out real sweet, but you should use a better spray glue, i use 3m 90 or higher, $5 a can, i use 2 cans, but nice job. i never had any problem with the shift boot before, is it different in australia? i will modify them, thanks for letting me know.

hey graham just after your opinion

do you think its worth while getting this kit instead of buying it by the meter and cutting your self? Did you need hair dryer to stretch the vynl in certain areas or is it all just glue/stapling. Is the feel/look decent (i dont expect leather quality) or is it just plain cheap?

As for your hand brake boot not fitting maybe email the other member that did his recently (posted on the z related few weeks ago) and see if he had a problem if i remember right it looked ok.

do you have any photos of the job you did??...how much did it cost you in the end?? and was it very difficult to do??...did you just take the old material off and measure it to size and cut it up??

i think that you must have some level of ..

technial competence ... when looking to by my zed some 8 weeks ago, i checked out one in brisbane .. looked magic via the internet advert ... in the flesh, it was a real shocker .. an absolutely amateur job !!!:thumbsdown:
