Was browsing 'The z Centre' as i usually do and noticed something i havn't before. a 300ZX Drift Iridium Nissan Gauge Cluster Kit. Clicky Linky It looks amazing in my opinion and well worth the $800. especially since each guage that ive found (iridium) has been approximated $200-$250 my question is, has anyone dealt with the z centre? feedback about them etc.. ? and maybe a group buy if anyone is interested?
I,ve bought from them Many times, There great but sometimes a little slow with getting it Sent, but other than that, there great.
hmmmmm, Interesting very interesting. not to sure if i like the look of it but it will fit in nicely with what i have planed for my Zed. I will be watching this thread for GB interest
Factoring in the "exchanged" based selling basis, what would be done to work that out? I'd think that the postage cost of sending a gauge cluster to the UK would be almost as much as the cost associated with not providing them with one
I was looking at this too...would they scrap the exchange if they just charged a bit extra?? And aside from that looks great IMO but I don't know if I could get used to the digital effect of the Rev's, seems a bit stilted
Well, given whatever the actual deposit was, I'd say it's a little more than they can buy a new dash cluster for. So, if you have a spare dash cluster hangin' around, and the postage is less than what the deposit's worth... I'd say you'd end up in front once the transaction's complete. If they knew a bunch of us couldn't work out an easy way to get our clusters over, I'm sure they wouldn't mind increasing the price by a little bit less than what they'd ask for as a deposit.
firstly how accurate are these gauges? coz the rev gauge looks stupidly slow. at one point the numbers went up to 9k+ rpm wtfff... another time the lines went up to 6k+ but the numbers only went up to 5k ???
i cant explain the 9k+ image but id say the one that says 6 and the read out says 5400 would be the digital delay between the wire and the computer reading it. sooooo yeah
call me old fashioned but i prefer my sports cars with 2 analogue dials. the stock tacho and speedo look fine and do the job well. the novlety of these would wear off pretty quickly and IMO they look tacky.
50 dollars!!! I wish they were that cheap. You're looking at 150+ each unless you get someone from the US to buy you some.
I have two of these gauges, water and boost. Reading is very perfect, however they aren't the best at daylight, specially in bright sunlight. There are better digital gauges in the market like AEM or PLX. This one looks great however the initial goal should be retain factory gauge readout plus some extra add on. Where is oil pressure and boost gauge like factory one does? Also they could add extra 4 set 7 segment display to read oil temp, pressure, boost and AFR. I can make one of these with my limited knowledge however the finishing may not be as good as this one. This is not a rocket science and I wouldn't pay this much just to fit all of them nicely in a factory cluster. Note: You can buy all 4 gauges from US for around $400 USD if you do buy bulk.
