We are looking to finish our bolt-on diffusers (2+0 and 2+2 versions) for the Australian market and we need one last thing...What are the exact dimensions for the number plate area on the rear bumper?

The american/japanese number plate dimensions on the rear bumper are 36cm x 18cm as you can see on the pics:

Hope you guys can help us with this dimensions, since it's very important for to make the diffusers fit right on the australian Z's.

I think that's the dimension of the number plate itself, but we are looking for the dimensions of the plate holder area on the bumper itself as we showed on our pics.

    Thanks!

I can't help you with the dimensions of the wider AUS rear bumper version, as my car has the Japanese/narrow opening, but you should understand that the majority of Z32's in Australia are Japanese imports and so both styles are needed over here.
I'm sure someone will be able to give you those dimensions shortly.
Keep up the great work you're doing with your designs.:zlove::zlove:

I was going to say that, id say well over 50% of the active members here have jap imports!

59 cm x 15 cm is the aus spec one, just measured.

what chili said, j-specs are more prevalent.

If you make it in jspec dimensions tho, most peoples number plates still wont fit properly

That was my thought. Regardless if it's an aus or jap spec zed. The Aussie standard plate size doesn't change. So it would make sense to just make a bar to suit standard plates and fit it to either the aus or jap spec zed.

Seems people got carried away with their thinking

That may well be, but they're not talking about their replacement rear bumper, they're talking about their bolt-on diffuser which must fit with the aus-spec numberplate recess. The bolt-on piece doesn't replace anything, just sits on the bottom of the bumper. As such, it stands to reason that it must suit whatever incarnation of zed bumper the prospective customer plans to affix it to.

Are you sure yours isn't a UK version? The guys at the UK forums gave those exact dimensions and also posted pics of the measurement.

I was guessing the aus-spec numberplate recess was around 45cm x 18cm or somewhere around those numbers.

Can anyone confirm that, please? Thanks!!

Euro and Aus spec rear bars are the same.
