i was wondering if anyone has a dyno sheet and the basic specs on the setup for a car running

    JWT 500 solid cam - 276* 10.9mm lift

hopefully with about to 8500-9000 rpm red line?

would be a great help with some flow calculations i'm doing :D

Huh? That's a fairly built motor man, dyno sheets will vary heaps pending turbos, heads and everything else.

Don't think you will find many people running solid lifter setups in Z32

thankyou... for stating the obvious
do you posses a dyno sheet and are holding out on me :p

i figured as much. but i'm really not sure why that is. the stocker hydro lifters have been said to foat after 7krpm... add heavy valve springs and that figure reduces the RPMS at which the hydraulics will start to collapse.

ill be switching to solids at one point or another,
but for now i want to give the hydro thing a go... i just want to see a solid lifter dyno sheet, all i need to know is, turbo, cams, boost and fuel :D:D

im also curious about the lobe profile of the jun cam being much more linear than others i have seen, the base circle is quite large. im curious if the affects the harmonics in the head and allows the hydro's to be pushed a little harder

so whats the highest rpm anyone has pushed a stock lifter head?

I'll definitely be going solid cams at some stage ..

although dont believe a huge duration is neccesary for a VG .

Even the escort racing cam was a 264/10.5 lift .. which will be my next custom cam from Jun .
Why rev to 9000 when you dont need to.

I dont have to rebuild just run a solid setup ...valvetrain is there for a reason :)

heads off isn't a big deal

already have new turbo specs ready ;)

Have a look in my rebuild thread there is some info comparing JUN to other cams.

Got a dyno sheet in there too that will show where it made power with the same cams as yours and hydro lifters

I've run around 8K rpm a lot although wasn't much point really as power was dropping away. Springs got old and soft and started to pump up the followers in the end (after of 250000kms) have fitted stronger springs (Z1) and custom ground cams, no trouble hitting 8Krpm and makes better power.

Kiwi dynos lie apparently so no point in saying how much power :p

(366kw - might be more like 400kw now)

thank you for the input ... at the stage where you removed and replaced springs, did you find any witness mark on the cams to indicate significant valve bounce?

Nah everything appeared to be in really good condition, I kept the old springs to test them one day and compare them to a new one and see how soft they went over time - just out of interest.
