Thanks for the awesome day and a special thanks for Tektrader to host today @ short notice. Awesome turnout and a very nice day.. I'm feeling a little sunburnt though Great to see the Zed community again and some new faces. Hope you guys had a good day
was a great day, good turnout and that silver 2+2 is now a sorry looking shell big cheers to tekky for letting us use the workshop. i finally swapped out my leaking steering rack with stu's rebuilt one. it's in, it works, it isn't leaking. i'm wrapped... for now. thanks to everyone who lent a hand or threw in some encouragement when all the doubters said you have to drop the cross member and lift the engine. helllll no. i got some pics, will post when i'm well rested and feeling less lazy.
Well we just got home after deciding to do a twisty run seeing it was a beautiful hot night Thanks alot to Graham and Jen for the bbq Great to catch up with all the old crew and some new faces,i have quite a few pics that i will upload later ,Simon and Kathy :zlove:
Good to see so many zedderz at Grahams, thanks to everyone who gave me advice / lent tools for removal of the dash from the silver car! Trav (mafi-zed) and I rocked up at 10, hoping the silver car would still have some meat on it, but alas, the savages had already stripped most of it! Like ants to sugar! Got sunburned pretty hard, but it was well worth it, thanks Graham for the parts, that radiator came in very handy (I actually needed it to get home!) I wish I could have stayed longer, but I had other commitments also.. Cheers, -Kirill
ah man the sunburn! It has struck again! But seriously was a great day and i got a good deal on those calipers wink wink. Good turnout and when i finally found out there was a fridge...with drinks...cold driniks...in a fridge, i was in heaven...until we ran out. Nice to see a few old faces and a few new ones. and to Mike...never again will someone say "but you can't change a steering rack in several hours without a hoist or without dropped the crossmember"

Was a great day good to meet up with all of you, it's good i can put faces to all the usernames now. love this forum everyone is so easy to get along with and more than helpfull with anything. Can't wait for the next GOR run or meet up where ever it might be. hopefully can cruise with Kingy again love that purple machine of his. Bryan
Yeah that was a pretty huge mission by mikey, chris and chad changing out the rack. rebuilt steering rack is still one of my favourite mods I have done, definately worth the money. I reckon I took out the prize for pissing off tektrader the most. You know you've annoyed Graham when his wife asks "so i assume you are moses?" Thanks to graham for the help on the front sway bar links  nice photo's by simon, i like that red zed with the work wheels. I have done abit of driving now and I am liking the OEM sway bars. The whiteline's were too stiff and the loss of independent wheel travel was making the car really bad to drive everyday to uni/work etc.... was great on the track though but my car will only be hitting the track a few times a year so at least graham can put them to good use on his track car.
oh COMMON!!#$## fine ill be the one who says it.. am i the ONLY one who noticed CLUBX in the background?!!?!?
1st up ..... Thanks to Fleming for the tech day and the insight to move it at such short notice to Graeme's shop. 2ndly Many thanks to Graeme for hosting Fleming's day, quite a few ZX's are much happier now, as are their drivers. Damn shame you had so much work to do and little time for relaxing :nono: For me, I had a choice of events to attend today, club dyno day and another clubs pre xmas party, I decided on the social day outing with fellow zed owners, & it was a great relaxing day chatting to the regulars and the new commers, all up a top day out...... & I made the right choice ! Like Simon & Kathy, I had a few issues with the way home route and gave in at the last turnoff and did the GOR run..... just for something differant ! The road was near empty and the targas eventually came off for few hours of uninterupted bliss. Nothing like a cool sea breeze on a warm night with the targas off, and the exhaust note of a ZX working away :zlove: Arrived home shortly after 1am to face the fireing squad....... Oh well, atleast the dog doesnt snore Many thanks to those that arranged and attended today, as always it was a pleasure. Kingy p/s Thanks for the navigation there n back Bryan
Sorry i couoldnt make it on the day guys, i was stuck at work with no1 to cover me. Great photos simon, Im so pissed i didnt go.
thanks alot for you're help graham with my starter motor, it's running perfectly now .... And sorry to anyone who needed the hoist! my car took a couple more hours than expected

P.S. Come on thats all u see....what abt the fab zeds in front....
Hmmm, lucky we started early. FYI I took a used starter to the auto elect to be rebuilt for Sally's car on wednesday. He swore it would be finshed on Friday. BUT wasnt was it So instead of just changing out Sally's one. Ended up rebuilding it myself with new bearings etc etc. 2 1/2 hours later Lucky we got to the bearing shop before 12 so I could finish it. The rear bearing was seized almost solid. It's good now though NOW I wont bother paying him. Just as easy to do it myself.
