i bought my zed standed 2 years ago today and its the best 23 000 ever spent!!! its never caused any probs at all. the only thing is the rear main seal thats damm impressive if you ask me. for all you new zed owners, dont listen to wat other people say about zeds! they are damm reliable!!
I think it really depends how your Zed was treated before you buy it If the Zed was well maintained,no worries...if not:angry::sick: The main expenses are on the maintenance of the car as it`s a 14 years old rocket. But I guess some people get more lucky than others. When I first bought the car...nearly 4 years, I took a 3 years warranty on the engine (lucky I took this insurance)and I had to change most of the parts(water & steering pump,steering rack,master cylinder and more) Now the car is nearly brand new. If the results from the enclosed survey are anything to go by, we believe in preventative maitenance. Apart from a few obsessives (12%) and beaters (12%), 32% work on their zeds weekly and another 32% work on their zeds at least monthly...
Ive had mine for 1 year, its done 230000Km and Ive had no problems apart from a few miner eletrical faults
