Yeah I never been inside a 2 seater so can't picture what happens at the back (carpet in a 2+2 doesn't go past the seats in any case) but the guy at Trufit reckons if its a post 90 300zx they have mold and it fits all models so he obviously doesn't know what he is talking about
he's probably thinking 1) LATE 89 = 90 = Z32 2) Aus spec (ie ALL 2+2) The carpet in a 2+2 goes PAST the front seats until it reaches the rear and climbs a little. If you're thinking of transplanting FROM a 2+2 into a 2 seater, could POSSIBLE work if you cut the carpet (remove the extra) however I'm not so sure even that would work well, and you'd want a professional job or it would look crap as hell.
Nah was going to get new carpet. The thinking was that it a 2 piece mold so thats how it fits both 2 and 2+2. Bad news is that they dont have a mold for post 89 300zx which is what I have asked on the phone at least 5 times :bash:
Your not the first to be screwed around on this. I have had this in my favorites for a while, never contacted them, dont know if LHD will cause a problem, cant see the floor pan being that different, probably get drivers heal pad on the right side and get them to not cut the fuel/hatch release and oh yeah, the peel back ECU flap needs to be on the other side. probably more trouble then its worth to get from an LHD market. http://www.auto-interior.com/nissan3.htm#300ZX 2+2
got ya. yeah he's prob just assuming they're all 2+2 (aus spec) Prob best trying to source in Jap land or thought an import specialist. Or have one custom made up by a good upholster. Could try and get details of the guy that did a custom job for my mates Charade if you like? Was bang up job.
i tryed for months to find a 2+2 z32 NEW carpet, but had no luck whatsoever, i even attempted to get crestajohn to use his conyacts to get one from japan but that was a dead end as well.....
but the issue here is, he CAN get a 2+2 one, but not a 2 seater one.... ...unless Im reading the thread wrong?
he can get a 2+2, yes!!!.....the catch is, its for a z31.....i know wtf!....damn it!!!....this goes for the ebay carpet suppliers as well, z31 is easy as piss to get ahold of, and yet the z32 replacement carpet does not appear to exist!
Try these guys Dude might help, might not, but my Mate got a really good custom carpet fit inlcuding deadening from these guys (for his Charade) http://www.knoxautocarpets.com.au/moulded_carpets.htm My mates in WA as am I but they still managed to pull the job off from the other side of the country and supplied to his door and he fitted it. The quality of the job was impressive and my mate is a tight arse so I'd assume it wasn't expensive either. Might be worth a looksie.
