...Implying we'll do this to every car he owns for the rest of eternity bwahahaha. I think i went nutty in the sun today, completely stuffed now. Took no pictures cos i was tired and greasey (though an abundance of cameras were safely locked away in the zed just in case something amazing happened). So to cut a long story short: engine isn't out yet (which i'm not buying btw as i have no room to store it, so contact Ryan if you're interested) but he has the crane at his house now so can try again during the week. It just got too late for us. On the upside Kirill now has some funky new seats and non-squealing brakes Also, if anyone saw Kirill and I tearing up city streets today (him in the red 2 seat targa TT with 18" 5 spokes, and I with the white 2 seat slicktop with 17" black/red lipped multispokes)...can you explain why the hell we kept getting tooted and flashed? Especially up in the northern suburbs, every man and his dog got in on the action. Very odd.
so how much of ryan's car is left? we demolished the interior last night, what did you guys do today? I noticed that too.. i got tailgaited like 3 or 4 times last night between the freeway and ryan's house, and this was while driving the camry... (Mike's theory was that if we parked the zeds outside ryan's house they'd end up on bricks). Also saw heaps of domestic Rice (commo's, falcon's and magna's) and a VS doing burnouts in Maccas carpark... I think people from the western suburbs are just weird.
Still heaps left man. Though all seats are gone, i got mid way taking the carpet out then got distracted removing intercoolers and parts of the loom. Was trying to get all of the intercooler pipes out but i couldn't undo the big arse bolt on the air con condenser so i gave up on that. Then helped Kirill do his brakes, then stuffed about with the engine a bit, then called it a day. So lots still there to be had, not a lot else to take out except the engine/g'box. Also suspension/subframe etc which i'd have liked to do but alas ran out of time.
Ev, how were you going to do all the under car stuff ? The shell has to be kept rolling or Ryan will never get it out of his backyard
I cannot divulge my secrets! haha i know, especially cos the car is down a bit of step. Anyone know what's happening with the shell yet? I dunno if Alex is taking it or he's sending it off to a scrap metal joint. If scrap metal he should get the suspension off cos he could make a bit extra that way.
