    Car: 1993 Nissan Fairlady Z32 300ZX
    Engine: 3.0L VG30DE V6
    Transmission: 5 Speed Manual Conversion
    Kilometres: 188XXXkm (Mostly Rural KM)
    Color: Dark Blue Pearl (TK3)
    2 Seater Targa Top
Recently Serviced (Spark Plugs, Oil, Coolant)

Located in Millicent (Near Mount Gambier / Approx. Halfway between Adelaide and Melbourne, Willing to meet halfway for genuine Adelaide / Melbourne buyer.)

Purchased this car to tidy up a bit and use as a daily, but due to needing to relocate in January I will be doing 500-600ish km a week and don't wanna put that sort of strain on the ZX. The guy I got it from didn't have much of an idea about cars and it was pretty run down when I got it.

To be as transparent as possible, after a clean up the car is of quite good condition in the engine bay and interior for its age, however the exterior is where this car lets itself down. It is a 1993 Fairlady Non Turbo, and was imported to Australia in 2002.

The paint is in average condition, overall its not too bad, however the nose panel and guards are faded and peeling, there is a dent on the passenger side targa panel, passenger side guard, and a dent above the windscreen on the roof. The front bar has a couple of cracks, and the rear bar has some paint missing also. This can be repaired fairly easily or if you wanted to modify the car and give it a full body kit when fixing up the paint work. I have been quoted at $2000 for a closed door re-spray and repair for the outside of the vehicle in the same color.

The interior of the vehicle is immaculate for its age, and other than a few little things like a small cigarette burn in the front drivers seat, and the usual wear and tear on the steering wheel and handbrake levers, it is very tidy and neat. Comes with the factory rear boot shade, still has the targa top shade panels to block out sun and also comes with factory floor mats.

The car apparently has the Turbo brakes and standard 16" Rims with roadworthy tyres, fronts are pretty much new. The car has an upgraded battery which is relatively new.

As far as performance goes the car has had a 5 speed manual conversion (reverse lights switch has been relocated to the dash below the CD player instead of being hooked up the reverse sensor on the gearbox for some reason), and has a "performance" cat back exhaust, which gives the car a decent note. I have been told it has an external fuel pump (which whines a little bit when the cars running, however I have been told this is normal for those pumps?).

I have done an ECU check and found error code 34, Det Sensor, which is said to be a common issue with these cars? However, The car drives fine, have provided videos of the car running, exhaust note and also of the car driving over the next few days once I can get hold of a decent camera as the phone pics above are pretty shit quality.

The car is registered in SA until January 25, 2011, and has recently passed it's inspection from NSW to obtain SA rego.

Only reason I'm selling it is because I've got the Supra as my weekender and I am doing 600+ km a week and have an Excel (shudders) for day to day duties to get me to and from work.

NOTE: Bumpers have been touched up with a touch up spray can and mirrors color coded.

    Chasing $5300 or nearest offer.

If theres anything else you want to know just ask and I'll try my best to answer them. Also have a spare muffler box and 5 injectors to go with it. In the pictures the gearboot is not on the car, however does come with one.

  2. Anti

    Anti 14.7 x 14.7 = 44.1

so you bought it, sprayed some touch up paint on it and are now asking 1.8 more than what the last seller was asking?

Cheers for your useless input, if he sold it cheaper than he could have thats his problem.

by the way, touch up paint works wonders to clean carpet stains, fix wiring issues and replace interior trims ;)

Original price was actually $3500 so well done there

If you were actually serious you'd take the time to look at it first and see what has actually been done and the condition its in.

Let up people. So what, somebody saw a bargain and bought the car at a cheap price. Doesnt in any way reflect the condition, or true value of the vehicle.

A '93 NA Targa Manual. Suede seats, interior and the increasingly popular S2 Climate Control. Its a good price.

Cheers mate, half expected it from the usual internet warriors.

Cappa, just for you buddy I'll go out now and take current photos for you, would have thought you'd be smart enough to figure out pics were taken before the touch ups.

Worse case scenario I'll just part it out, Im sure someone would want a bargain

For someone who's trying to sell a car you're sure going about it the wrong way. Obviously people are going to see both threads, and that you've chucked 2 grand on the price while the car looks pretty well the same as it did before. Nobody in their right mind would think hmm so he bought it last week for 3.5k and now he wants more than 5? Either A. he bought it to resell at a profit, or B he bought a dirt cheap Zed and has found that it has so many problems so now he's trying to flog it off again. For me you would've lost a sale, but that's just me.

Hows he going about it the wrong way, saw a bargain, tidied it up and is selling it on, nothing wrong or dodgy about that...

To the OP gl with the sale, will likely have better luck elsewhere i think though

Cheers mate, I figured as much but thought I might as well post it up incase someone did want it.

ryzan; I bought the car to tidy up and use as a daily driver with the intention of being able to make a profit upon selling it, but with racking up huge amounts of km a week and needing to pay for the respray on my Supra which comes out of the booth earlier than expected this friday, I want to sell this to replenish the bank account.

If you watched the videos of it driving and running you'd be able to see everything functions fine, which is the entire reason I posted those videos. People aren't going to be prepared to make the trip down to look at it unless they were assured it did actually run.

Believe me, I simply don't need the car, I've got my excel for daily duties and the Supra for weekends.

Heres a crappy quality pic i took this morning before work, I'll get decent ones tonight.
