    Comments:
    * Reason for sale: Purchased back off insurance company as a repairable write off, after being stolen and joyridden from my work in Fountain Gate, Narre Warren. Had plans to rebuild the engine and driveline but since I have started University study, I unfortunately have little spare time to spend on car projects. I also have another car (SW20 Manual Turbo MR2) which already takes up some of my time outside of university hours.
    * The car has definitely blown at least 1 head gasket. It cranks over freely but will not fire up. It is obviously not holding enough compression in the cylinders. The engine had obviously got QUITE hot at some stage, since some of the VHT black engine paint has delaminated on the passenger side of the intake manifold.
    There was a moderate amount of oil that had spewed up on the passenger side of the engine bay, over the battery, the battery tray and near the strut tower. I?m not certain of what had happened but it may have either ruptured an oil feed line to the passenger turbocharger or blown oil out of the rear main seal.
    The condition of the rest of the engine and driveline is unknown, since it has not been torn down to diagnose.
    Inside the cabin, the driver side seatbelt buckle had been removed for whatever reason, (it is still in the car) and the parcel tray was ripped up and destroyed (thrown out.) Otherwise it is relatively untouched, and indifferent from the pictures below. The pictures below were taken PRIOR to the car being stolen ? nothing really has changed, except for the parcel shelf being ripped out.
    * I have checked and the car is NOT on the written-off-vehicles-register, and COMES WITH REGISTRATION UNTIL NOVEMBER 2011.
    * It ran with 12 pounds of boost, via a Turbosmart Single Stage Manual Boost Controller. (as pictured)
    * Automatic gearbox had been completely overhauled; $2500 worth of work was completed. I have the receipts somewhere if you are interested.
    * 100,000 kilometer service had been completed at 160,000km, which included timing belt, belt tensioners, water pump, thermostat, crank and camshaft oil seals, etc.
    * New Cam Cover gaskets and Half-Moon seals had been installed.
    * Cooling system had been pressure tested. There were no leaks at the time.
    * BRAND NEW engine bay wiring harness had been installed. (Fresh connectors)
    * Series 2 PTU installed.
    * Iridium spark plugs had been installed.
    * Working Cruise Control.
    * Advanti Volt 17x8 inch front and rear Alloys installed, no gutter rash.
    * Bridgestone Adrenalin 235/45/R17 tyres on front and rear wheels.
    * Koni Yellow Adjustable Struts professionally installed front and rear, along with Tanabe GF210 springs front and rear.
    * Tuneagent adjustable camber arms professionally installed front and rear.
    * A1RM brake pads professionally installed front and rear, plenty of meat left on them.
    * Two-tone silver/black engine bay.
    * Plenum/manifold pull completed to remove under-plenum water hoses, clogged exhaust gas recirculation valve and associated piping, air induction valves, and PRVR system.
    * Blue silicone intake, vacuum and brake booster hoses installed.
    * New PCV valves and all new OEM tubing installed. PCV pickup ?reroute? completed - prevents oil entering intake while cornering.
    * Apexi power intake air-pod installed.
    * AMS lightweight underdrive alloy crank-pulley installed.
    * Sard adjustable fuel pressure regulator installed along with Autometer fuel pressure gauge under bonnet.
    * Oil and oil filter changes were completed every 4000-5000 kilometres. Always ran a quality synthetic oil, usually Nulon 15W-50 or Penrite Sin 15W-40.
    * Pioneer Head Unit, US Audio DIN gauge set and Kicker SS component speakers installed in the front.
    * Marble trim kit installed.
    * Fairlady Velour interior, including OEM Fairlady floor mats.
    * Both the Oil pressure gauge and boost gauge were both functioning correctly and giving accurate readings.
    * Nismo clear side indicators installed.
    * Bomex spoiler.
    * The Paint is still in excellent, shining condition, and is cleaned and polished on a weekly basis with a chamois by hand. The body remains in excellent shape.
    * Tinted windows.

    If there are any questions regarding the vehicle, I can either be contacted on my mobile (0432673059) or via email (allan.mclean1@live.vu.edu.au) or via PM here on Aus300zx. Inspections are welcome and more details about the cars? location and when it is available for inspection will be given via private message/email or on the phone.
    I will be sad to see it go, since I have owned the car for nearly 5 years now and treated it like a baby. I?m hoping it will go to someone on this forum who will show it some love and TLC.

    Ahh, bummer! I could suss out car freight if you are still interested. It would probably cost around $900 door to door, as a rough estimate. I was quoted around $600 for Melbourne to Sydney some time back. The offer is there anyway. :zlove:

    Cheers mate

    The only other trouble is that I have been bitten big time before with a car that was classed as a repairable write-off. lost heaps of cash last time :(.

    Some more pictures of a glimpse of the damage. There really isn't a lot to be seen, the majority of the damage will have happened inside the engine/transmission, and it doesn't seem to have 'thrown a leg out' or anything. As you can see, there's a bit of oil on top of the battery and down the passenger side of the engine. You'll have to draw your own conclusions..

    Sorry, forgot to add, the oil on the passenger side of the engine could also be (and is most likely) oil escaping from the PCV outlets due to excess crankcase pressure. The oil dipstick was not disturbed, but oil can fly out of the dipstick if there is excess crankcase pressure apparently. Food for thought.

    UPDATE: I have just taken a deposit for the car today, at this stage it is sold! That was quick!
    I'll update the thread if anything changes. I'm very happy to see the car going to a member on here that has grand plans for it :)
