After 10 years of Zedding, I am putting my car up for sale. Change of location and lifestyle in the past few years have brought about this decision. I have totally loved the Zed but, for the past two years, it has sat in the garage and literally not been used. This is not fair to it and it needs a new owner who can do right by it.

By way of background, a couple of years ago, the car got hydrolocked after ingesting some water during a heavy storm. This resulted in a bent piston, which I'll throw in for free. Insurance fully covered the damage, and the engine was rebuilt by Fleet at his workshop over a period of 10 months or so.

The rebuild went OK but it has sat in my garage for the past two years. While it drives OK, it has an electrical short that drains the battery very quickly. Fleet couldn't repair this as he went out of business straight afterwards. The problem is fixable, but I'm at the point where I don't want to invest any more money in the car and I have moved on to other interests in the meantime. I'd say at worst it needs a new loom, or at best there is a pinched wire following the engine install.

I maintained the rego until February this year but it has now lapsed.

It's therefore up for quick sale for $5,000 as is where is. This car has had some performance improvements but in a stealthy way to keep its stock appearance. Details are as follows:

Thanks Cam. She is very clean, and I had always wanted her to look stock but behave otherwise...stealth. :)

For the price, this would be a great car for someone who only needs to put a little extra into fixing the electrical leakage problem. A little while ago, I was considering getting a new engine loom from Courtesy Nissan and pulling the engine to fit it. This would probably solve it and set up the engine bay for the next 100K kilometers. A job for the next owner, though.
