After much thought ive decided to sell my 300zx after years of restoring it and getting it to near running again. Selling cheap because it wont start without a tune as the ecu has been reset after playing with the v8. Few scratches around the car, most common area of them is around the boot where the factory rubber spoiler was removed and an infil panel was installed in its place.

Engine is stock standard, went from the original v6tt to a v8 now back to a v6tt and has about 140000kms to it.

Mods included with the car are as followed,

    Trust side mount intercoolers
    42mm radiator
    Adjustable fuel pressure reg
    040 fuel pump
    Haltech EllV2 ecu
New engine mounts were installed when the new v6 went in
2 1/2" twin exhaust out of dumps into single 3" exhaust from cat back to a 5" cannon
    UAS braided clutch line
Air con has been removed, along with a lot of other non used items that have been suggested for removal to decrease the weight of the car

Full tein suspension, height adjustable coilovers, all bushes, tension rods
    HICAS elimination bar
    Rear subframe bushes
    Adjustable camber bolts
Single piece tailshaft from driveline services
4 brand new 235/35/19 tyres, space saver in the boot and also a spare 245/35/19 rubber only

Alpine 7" touch screen dvd/cd player
    Alpine 6 1/2 tyre r front speakers
    Infinity 4x6 rear speakers
    Sony 500w 4 channel amp
    HKS turbo timer
Garrett boost gauge and speco water temp gauge, spare slot for a 3rd gauge of choice
Optima red top dry cell battery relocated to the boot in a battery box

Also have other spare parts that can go with the car if new owner wishes, spare left and right headlights, chrome molly flywheel, manual gearbox (only good for internal parts unless bellhousing gets replaced), spare centre dash unit.

Asking $6000 ono, any questions, more pics or viewings just message or call me on 0458 855 557, cheers,
    Ash

    Hey Ash,

What exactly needs to be done and how much roughly do you think it would cost to get running again?

    Cheers

Just needs to be tuned and have the air temp sensor installed in one of the intake pipes so guessing sbout 3 hours worth of tuning. I've got it booked in on the 30th of this month just in case I still have the car but was hoping to have it sold before hand. Only other thing is a wheel alignment will be needed

Could it not just have a standard ECU put back into the car, or is the loom modified to the point where that would also need replacing, or it's not a practical solution?

I've never seen a Haltech installed.

The haltech uses a piggy back loom so its straight plug in, only added wires are outside of the factory loom and they are for the 3bar map sensor and the air temp sensor. Have had it started with the standand ecu when i picked up the half cut and had it started briefly with the haltech also. Its either the fact that the base tune is dodgy or that its not picking up a sensor from somewhere or one is out of calibration. Frankly i dont want to spend any more money on the zed thats why its going cheap or might be getting parted soon.
