hello i am planning on buying a 1986 300zx and have some general questions. any help is appreciated. 1. beacuse australia spec 1986 models did not get climate control,can it be bought seperately? 2. can electric seats also be bought seperately? 3. how much would a new set of tyres cost? 4. is it possible to buy z badges and attach them to the car?thanks:YD
Not that I know too much about Zeds > but the answer to your question are pretty straightforward! I think???:s (1) Its not getting a climate control thats your worry its whether an '86 model has the wiring loom fitted in it to take one. You would have to find that out first. I have my doubts but I could be wrong. See if you can find if they were an option for that model, if they werent then your stuffed!8-} (2) Electric seats - shop around at the wreckers for those maybe the later model seats will be adaptable with a little work. (3)Tyres will cost you around $700 for a reasonable set of rubbers. Every Zedster has his/her preference.8-} (4) Badges?? you can fit whatever badges you want by either gluing or drilling a coulple of holes. Now if they are the only problems you percieve with owning a Z then Im glad and wish you well but they are like a highly strung female , tempermental, impatient always wanting to go, sexy and above all expensive!!! If you can handle all that Timbo then you arent in for any surprises just a whole lotta fun!regards John
Climate control I picked up my 86 300zx last year and it has climate control. Does that mean something I don't know about my car?
