I have Advanti tri spoke racing wheels; the counter sunk section for the nut to screw onto the stud is only 18mm round so they have 17mm nuts, the problem I have is I have stripped the thread in one of the nuts, thinking that?s ok I will just go and buy some new nuts, checked out Supercheap Auto no good don?t have 17mm nuts in 1.25 size. So called into Auto 1 same story, the assistant phoned up to see if he could order some in, no go can only get them in 19mm. Anyone know where I can get 17mm x 1.25 nuts, or do I have to get the 19mm machined down.

you mean 17mm in diameter? you can get inner hex nuts. search wheels nut on ebay, you will find it.
or, if you dont want to wait, go to any decent tire shop, they should have them.

either that .... or just go to your local wheel/tyre fitting store. They have butt loads in stock (cause they use them every day obviously). Just get some off them. Not expensive. :)

If you have no luck, go to Mr Mag in Morley. Thats where i got my wheel nuts from. A bit pricey for tuner nuts like i got but its a once off thing.
