12v power supply in engine bay....

Ok I'm sure this is easy but my brain just cant think at the moment...

I'm after a wire in the engine bay that will provide 12v only when the engine is running or the key is in the ON position..... not ACC.....

Any idea's?

Relay?

I'd take the power off one of the relays - depending on how much current you are going to draw down you might have to upgrade the relay and/or the fuse but a good auto electrician could advise you there ...

its just to operate a small solenoid......

Didn't you fit Kzeds temperature thingie? Well the power for that comes from the ignition side of things so just use that.

 

But its not in the Engine Bay

 

So how hard is it to pas a wire thru the fire wall and take to where ever?

 

In 6 pin larger wiring plug next to

relay box, there is a wire (white or black-sorry can't recall which) which feeds your ign relay. Put a multimeter on that and test with ign off and on...

 

I have a multimeter i don't use!
