Im reaching the 100,00 k mark and im alrdy preapring for the 100k service, and i want to ask you guys how much does a 100k service cost on a 89 NA? and does anyone recommend a nissan servicer in melb. When i got my stereo installed at Hoppers Autobarn i meet a guy named Ryan who has a black TT 300zx and he suggested Alan Mace in meltone and it cost him 'thousand and sixty five' (his words) is this roughly how much it would cost me for my service?
firstly .. you would need to know what the price of .. $1065 included .. sounds to me to be a very short version of the 100kkm if it included parts ..... the k-zed kit is the full bottle and then add to that 8 hours times your workshop charge out rate ... 8 hours should be max time for doing the 100kkm job...
I agree black baz, like i said im not sure if he meant $1065 or $1650 but i am going to ring around some Z shops and ask about costs and such and go from there. Has anyone ever had there service done by Z shop in Glen Iris?? i got the web address off the back of a wrecked Z32 in deer park www.zshop.net.au, had a look at the site today, it looked a bit pricing but then i dont know much about parts cost for the zed much yet.
I just got a quote for a full 100,00 km service from the zshop.net.au at $1,440 not including spark plugs and new raditor hoses which are extra. He said take bout 8 hrs to do. Do u guys think this is overpriced for a 89 NA??
The $1065 sounds like my 100k service, 4 months later $8.5k re-build, you can't do a full 100k service for that unless you don't charge much for labour, or you don't put the parts required into it. Buy the full kit from K-zed, and a reputable mechanic should fit it in about 8 hrs. Or do it yourself. It's fun, and you can do shitloads more - underplenum by-pass, EGR removal BLING,BLING BLING Sorry everybody I'm going to post it again! Love that pic
Put it away Baron! The only thing that I'm surprised about is that you could bring yourself to put it back in your engine bay... I mean, can you imagine that as your mantlepiece in the living room? Or maybe with some fairylights in December as a 300ZX Christmas tree? Very sparkly... Seriously DJ, go with Uncle Baron's advice: k-zed's kit and find a reputable mechanic to do it.
Yes im still looking into all my options, i dont have the expertise or mechanical know how to install the kit myself. I Did ask one mechanic how much it would cost for labour for the service and they quoted $105/hour (Allan Mance Nissan). what a rip off. I didnt ask ZShop how much labour would be but ill ring them back and ask.
nissan are rip off's... what area do you live in? im guessing western suburbs..? there is the zshop, nissport or sabbadin automotive down my way.. S.E suburbs.. zshop is closer to chapel though
Yes im in altona near werribee, I dont mind where i go to get the service done in vic perferable close but if any of u guys know a reputale zed specialists id be more then keen to get them to do it through them. Zshop seems to be the best choice for me so far.
