Well done! Even though nobody answered my question when ..... previously asked, I have to assume you have one of the fastest Z in Aus....correct? CheerZ Vincent
Fastest yes As far as I know and also Fullboost.com.au. In Street Drag Challenge for back of HPI and their web site. Must have factory chassis and treaded radial tyres. You can run NOS I found out, which we don't. The only faster 6 cylinder rear wheel drive car than this is a Supra 10.46 with T88-34D and apparently with NOS. Workshop is C & V who put NOS on everything. Also like to see this car run circuit. I might add the 10.89 I did my 60ft was 1.69 with a crap burnout and not best take off. The next and last run I did as run out of fuel and night was 1.57, but then I missed second gear and pulled out otherwise would have been a 10.7 or maybe 10.6. FULLBOOST This other Aussie Zed website think fastest also? Zed Link.
Not sure Standard they are similar weight but not sure what has been done or removed from this Supra and what power with and with out NOS.
approx 1500kg for the z coupe thats whats on the rego slip, without compromising the shape and style of the z it would be advantageous to shave a few 100kg off.i cut a front cut leftover up to dump months ago, the front rails are three layers in places.
Yep heavy but strong Zeds are a great base as most things are overkill such as drive train and chassis etc. Just put on a diet to lose to get rid of some of the heavy stuff that you don't need, throw some big power and they have good aerodynamics and handling is good due to supsnesion design due to low centre of gravity and engine sits way back unlike Supra GTR etc. Zeds are real contenders. By the way as far as I know I think Zeds have record for 1/4 mile over GTR and prob circuit also. Supra not sure. Also this link might work better re Full Boost. FULL BOOST ZED
i put that on add fav's with ecu's being as sophisticated as they are these days, why is there not some barometric/temp monitoring to allow for optimum air fuel mix?
There is sort of Not sure how this came up but the Autronic uses inlet air temp sensor which adjusts timing according to inlet temp, and MAP sensor to measure manifold pressure, Microtech and Motech etc do same. You can have other inputs such as Exhasut Gas Temp probe or probes. Does not adjust air fuel ratio though but then don't need to do this only timing. This allows to tune to the max with safety built in as if temps go up then timing comes back. GTR's have inlet temp sensor as well as air flow metres whilst other cars like Supra have MAP not sure if have inlet temp sensor. Zeds have AFM only with factory ECU.
Recognised every voice  Well done John, it appears as though you've set the benchmark. How bout that reaction time hey?? I bet the guy in the other lane thought he was golden up until 60ft , and then... seeeee ya!! nice work.
