hey fellas, for all of u that neglect there zed and dont clean it as much as u should, dont worry ive found a zed that is by far the worst ive ever seen, its for sale , haha good luck finding a buyer 4 this zed. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-300ZX-...1QQihZ010QQcategoryZ18238QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Eeeeuuuwwww Looks like it's been in a lake, or something. Battery's clean, though. And cobwebs in the plenum? How long since the engine's been run?
that sure is an absolute shocker of an engine bay! looks like somethings tried nesting amongst the plenum......*shudders at the neglect*... at least he has his price about right..
I have an uncontrollable urge to clean that poor thing. Hope they still have the standard air box, I dont think a pod filter is going to cope with that kind of abuse/neglect.
paid too much i thought i might have paid too much for mine but when i see that advertised for nearly 10grand Aus , i am quite happy with what i paid
I think that listing is the best listing i have ever seen for a car. atleast you can see every little bit that has a bit of damage. most people on ebay try their best to not show any faults in their cars. this guy has every angle and even close ups of parts that need repair. his engine bay might be dirty but i don't think its his car. it looks like a small car dealer.
OMG!! How does anything move or work in that engine? At least the cowl's look like their in good order LOL!!
Hahaha, me too Gazza! I feel better for having read I am not the only one. Could be an absolute shining star under all that dirt.....
zed from hell trully is a piece of shite, gotta love the add "Specially selected from Japan! - REAL HEAD TURNER" hmm i wonder what the auction sheet said, one 300zx found in a swamp, no clean pannels all interior has damage. grade 1.0 haha imagine being the proud owner of that one and popping the bonnet hehe
I don't think it's all that bad... My engine bay was a mess when I first got it. One thing I don't understand, interior looks clean, exterior looks very clean etc... but then the engine bay is just a horrible mess that could easily be cleaned or at least improved. I have a friend who's currently selling his TT coupe. His engine bay is just as beautiful as the one you've posted. I've told him to spend some time to clean it up, makes a huge difference to the over all impression of the car.
I think what you will find is the guy had just finished doing an intitial detail on the exterior of the car. You can see where they have been using a cut polish on it with a power polisher and its cut the thinner paint off the wiper blades. I reckon the whole cars exterior was in the same shape before hand (look how dirty the paint is where the targas sit), I also suspect that engine bay was in even worse condition and the guy has given it a rough dusting just so you can see the engine, notice how things like the cap on the power steering reservoir, the cover on the fuse box, some pipes are cleaner than the rest of the engine. The car probably got that bad from sitting somewhere exposed to wind and dust for a long period of time, those discs definitely have not been used in a long time.
