ok, i now have your attention and the young uns would not have a clue as to who diana doors was anyway .. so to some relevance ...!!! access to those little mother fxxxxxs is near impossible, but having heard unca rob chide someone at burping gary's tech day for not "soaking for two weeks" and then having the same guru diagnose my l/h 02 sensor as most likely r/s, i lorried, i lorried that i had betta do something before the upcoming QLD tech day ... THE 02 sensor access tool .. MARK ONE ..!!! all left over material .. take one small, kitchen funnel (mrs black baz was not amused ..!!), add about 24 inches of 10mm clear plastic tubing, cut at the lower end at 45 degrees ... plus a piece of wooden dowel .. about 18 inches ... insert small funnel at top end of the plastic tubing, tape tubing to dowel with about 2-3 inches hanging off the 45 degrees trimmed bottom end ... spray your INOX/WD40 or whatever soaker into the funnel directing the bottom trimmed end to the threaded base of the O2 sensor .. RESULTS ..?? fine, but limited manouverablity because of the rigidity of the wooden dowel ... !!! THE O2 SENSOR ACCESS TOOL .. MARK TWO .. !! THE BEST !! to overcome the rigidity of the wooden dowel,i replaced it with a piece of thin copper tubing of the same length (left over from an a/c installation).. this worked brilliantly, highly flexible, can be twisted to reach virtually any spot around the sensor, while the top end can be twisted any way to provide a convenient handle/grip .. the 45 degree cut in the plastic tubing at the bottom end also allows to better direct the flow of the soaker to the desired spot around the base of the sensor ...!!!! as advertised by the "unreal" clive .. all too easy !! p.s. .. out of chardonnay tonight .. this is the result of a magnum of tyrell's shiraz ..nasty stuff!! black baz ,, a bit worse for "red" wear ...!!!1
The Blipman method of O2 sensor removal... Belt the crap out of them with a hammer, knock the top off them and then you can use a (whatever, 23mm I think) size socket to unscrew. BTW it was Diana Dors

at the time i wrote that last night and the amount i had consumed .. i am surprised that i was able to write anything ...!!! ..and p.s. ..i only reason i was on the magnum of shizzzaazz was that the chardonnay had run out ..!! goes to show that red wine is not as good for you as touted ... it does hurt you .. i have been suffering badly all daze ...!!! a very black baz ....
