Is the only way to test them, by getting to the ECU and getting it into diagnostics mode and then running the car?Or can you just short that connector out under the drivers foot well and start the car and do it that way?I also pulled out my spark plugs today to check them, and the tops of the pistons are very black (carbon black) All I can see is carbon, that sound about right?Maybe I need to do that steam clean thing.. How ever the spark plugs are in good condition no abnormal signs of any thing.
