are you being real? you are talking about a 300zx and a yaris in the same post. if you are seriously worried about your fuel consumption then you will never be happy and might aswell sell your car. if you have realistic expectations then do some searching on the forum
Hey, i've had a bit of a look around but if you get a chance could you maybe give me some more info about the type of generator I could look at buying/building to run on my straight gas 351C F100? Also any info about the system you are trialing that will be available soon would be interesting too. Any idea of a possible RRP? Sorry for the barrage of questions, but it's your fault for seeming to always have the answers! Ben
Is there any proof this things work? It is rather an air flow obstacle than improvement, same as electric "turbo"
yeh i now sounds stupid, and i recon we all would be happy to spend a bit less on fuel if ZX is an everyday car. However parallel thread about weight reduction is a very helpful. The tare mass is the part of the problem (if it is a problem). I recon everyone noticed how quick car flies when the fuel tank is almost empty.
I brimmed my tank (90 Manual NA 2+2) and around town went 380km before filling up again. tank took 38L to brim again. 10L/100km, though i dont do a particularly large amount of "creative" driving.
You still had another 20L of fuel to safely keep driving, if it only took 38L thats no where even close to empty. Mine usually takes 50L most its taken was 63L
Why whats the problem? You don't believe him, i get 11L/100 around town. Maybe you should take it easy with the right foot
i dont think there is anything particularly unbelievable about my figure. i just avoid spending 90% of my time above 4500rpm!
Quit achievable provided you only do longer trips, keep a steady 60-70 and only stop at traffic lights every 5-10 minutes. (Sydney middle of night maybe, never during the day)
Bigger turbo's on a TT and increased inlet cam timing/ higher compression aid in lower end torque. It makes it quite easy to cruise around town in. I believe it is possible. My 2c.
i can make my Z go from around 18ltr per 100km to around 8ltr per 100km, i suggest you get some helium ballons for your foot, shiteloads of them in fact , gunnin it from every 2nd or 3rd set of lights uses fuel, lots of fuel
, oh, by the way, 8ltr per 100km is remote highway cruising, you slow down rarely compared to city driving, but even doing a fast run it can guzzle about 15+ltr per 100km
hehe wait untill you have a huge 740setup... on boost it can suck the juice hard hhehehhee u na boys dont know what your on about
Suggest you dont try this as its just plain wrong. TPS has nothing to do with leaning out the engine and it will prob run like a bag of SHITE. Check your O2 sensors
