Unexpected findings on/in your zed

a spanner in my engine bay, a loose turbo timer and a "musical horn" :/

 

how about a not so surprising find?

my wheels were on the wrong way around.

 

I found my engine was fuched and so was just about everything else.

 

I don't know the history of my Zed beyond the owner I brought it off, and for an NA - the figures are decent... so im hoping theres some secret engine work waiting to be discovered

I doubt it though

 

coil overs, jap credit cards and fuel cards, coins and a few other bits a pieces

 

you miss-under stand the thread.

We mean "unusual" things you found in your zed.

Serious stereo cables throughout the car and zero guage amp wiring in the boot...im not complaining though

funny thing was i bought it off a 50 year old...go figure

 

I found that the previous owner liked doing shit jobs when repairing things on the zed...

- Cut a huge hole on both sides of the door liners to fit in the speakers (you could still see the hole when installed )
- Hacked wiring job with loose wires everywhere
- Glued down several interior parts with what looks like a dodgy silicon
- Glued both side mirrors on (and I wondered why they wouldn't turn in )
- Painted the steering wheel with some sort of paint...maybe to stop wear? Who bloody knows...

I'm just glad, I've sorted out most of the problems..:bash:

 

i found a button next to the accelerator that you can kick very easily while on the noisy pedal, i found a celine dion cd, a switch underneath a panel in the dash. An earth grounding kit. Stainless exhaust system, 11 degrees retarded timing

I think thats about it.

 

When I picked up my zed (off eBay ) My first thoughts were it was really good for the money...

Then as I delved under the bonnet I noticed something between the firewall and the back of the engine - down beside the battery I found a grey plastic thing???

As I pulled it out I smelt a rat.....

lucky the owner in his wisdom put a rat trap in there to save the wiring! It wasnt long dead...

 

geesh that's shocking. Zed engine bay gets pretty hot... and that's a pretty fat rat... yummy.
