just in case any of these parts turn up anywhere...
the kakimoto twin exhaust had a number welds redone on most of the resonators - very obvious.
the brake calipers were painted cream with red lettering ( looked a bit dodgy )
motor had many hoses replaced with red silicon, including brake booster hoses.
also had iridium plugs. Hardpipes had blue silicon coupling.
i guess they'd change engine number but it used to be VG30533562W
car also had tomie 300km/hr dash, Tien coilovers, pod filter
momo steering wheel with cruise controls in centre
    and badly done window tinting.

Make sure you watch other forums too as well as ebay... some of those parts can be used on other cars so just keep a look out...

I know how you feel mate - they tried to get mine out of my driveway about 6 weeks ago. They buggered the alarm on the passenger door, but triggered it from the drivers side..... So they ran off and left it.

Came back for another stab at it 3 weeks later - only my partner's 180 was in the way. So they broke into that too. He didn't have an alarm at that point in time - only thing that saved it was that we were still awake and hearn them snap the steering lock. It was a close call!

I hope you get your car back, safely, and quickly. And I hope they catch the assholes who are out there doing this, it's horrible when these things happen. Makes it even worse when it makes you question the security of your own home. I hope you're sleeping ok - if it's messing you around I'd recommend seeing the doc for some little white sleeping aids. It's what I had to end up doing - was staying awake for over 48 hours at a time in case they came back to have a 3rd go at my cars. Ended up installing a set of video cameras out there.

Hope you're hanging in there -given the circumstances I know it won't be easy. :(

thanks Lyshious - i know how you feel too.
its affected me more than i thought it would
not sleeping too well but it could be worse - still got a lot to be thankful for.
reckon i'll go with the tracking alarm and house cameras too.

good luck with your sale - it's a nice one
    cheers

    red32 You talkin' to me?

Sorry to read of your loss Niven, but this is a thread hijack!

Pat! What can I say? What a stupid mongrel the perp is. Is there any chance of recovering some sort of compensation from him for your (ex)beautiful beast?
With concerns for both of you: what total turds these car thiefs are!

    ZED FOUND !!!!!

my car has been found !!
    :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:
and it's straight, still has all it's wheels and windows !
    :):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
the boost controller is gone, the steering cowl has been smashed and removed, and some trim under the instrument cluster.
the wiring harness up the steering column has been completely cut.
chassis rails look straight, pannels all good
i'll have to wait and see what the drive train and steering are like.

It was parked at the back of some town houses with another stolen car just one suburb away.
the theives must have been spooked cos there was a jack next to the car
so they were at least planning on taking the wheels too.

there are clear finger prints on the glass, so if they're on record those guys are GONE !

now i'm gonna get me an alarm & a tracker, immobiliser, and lock her up in the garage every night.
i'm gonna install a cattle prod, razor blades,
and one of those giant van-de-graaf generators
build a mote and a draw bridge....
well i think you get the idea anyway.

thanks for all your support and advice everyone !!
especially Luke, my fam & the Holbo's
it's really meant a lot to me.

it aint over yet but it's lookin a whole lot better
and maybe all the other canberra cars will be just a little safer too.

That's a fantastic result Niven!!! Really glad you got it back safe .... and mostly sound.

Regardless of what protection you choose, as others have said, get a ZID.;) It's not expensive to buy but it's a pita to fit, however, it's well worth it. A great addition to any alarm/immobiliser system.

    Cheers,

    Peter

Aw crap Patrick, what a b@st@rd of a thing to have happen !!! I'm not a vindictive person, but I hope the loser that did this suffers a long time.

It looks a mess. Hope you can salvage the good bits.

    Cheers,

    Peter
