Well, it looks very well done and is in keeping with the style for a model that age...however, it is kinda pointless. If you want a sun-roof, get a t-top IMO.
i think its rather nice, well done aswell not shabby. but i assume there would have been support beam's running through the roof.. must have been a hard job. but as said above...why not just get a t-top, but it is something different thats for sure.
Maybe this guy only had the hard top, but wanted the benefit of a sunroof and couldn't afford getting a whole other car, so just got the much, much cheaper option of putting in his own sunroof...? If that was the only option i could afford, that's what i'd do. I can't see what's wrong with it, if he likes it and serves his purpose without having to buy a whole other T-Top Zed then good on him.
just a point, when i put this thread up,i didnt mean anything about quality of the job,its just a shame to make a rare slicktop vanish of the face of the earth
in my opinion the sunroof looks great, i have a slicktop and i miss the sunroof i had on my celica, dont think i miss it enough to put one in my slicktop tho lol $$$
I don't mind it, each to their own Be pretty boring if we all had the same spoiler/brazilian, front/rear bars, interior, wheels, colour etc don't you think. Cheers Fran
If it came like the from the factory I wouldn't mind one.. Not that I'd go do that anyways, but if there is a support bar running through where he has chopped I deffinantly wouldn't do it.
do you act stupid most of the time,or just some of the time . Do you really think he has increased the value of a slicktop by making it one with a sliding sunroof
exactly, nobody is mocking the quality of the job, more the fact that somebody has hacked up a slicktop. It may be unique, but what's the point?
Fair enough but the only way this particular NA will do 10 over the quarter is if you dropped it off a cliff
I kinda like it :banned: I reckon it suits the car (the sunroof that is). Don't think I'll be tempted though... 10sec NA Z? Is that the one with 6 twin throat side draughts, tube chassis and a million gallons of nitrous?
