    Pretty much 400kms-ish per Tank

    A tank being around 55-60L.

That's a stock 2+2 NA, driven to City & out peak hour, and whilst not thrashed, it's not driven like a granny either ;)

    400km/tank city, 600 plus country ...

from a manual TT. Kept records for over 10000 km, the overall average was about 12.5 lt/100k, but on a good easy country run this would dip below 10 lt/100k.

13/15L per 100km I think I worked mine out to be.. and $80 to fill the tank up on 98 octane. (Told you can get better fuel economy with better octane values, either way it burns cleaner).

Car is auto, thats half city half freewayish.

I thought the tank was something like 72 litres?

A full tank holds 72L but when gauge at the E mark, around 60L will refill.

    lol :) JK

Best economy was 564km to 33L. Good old Charade.

Zed as an NA economy best was 575km to 68L. As a 270kw TT, around 330km to 60L.

Having just arrived back from a trip from Brisbane to Port Douglas via the Bruce Highway & the Atherton Tablelands, I can tell you I did 3769 klms & used 417 litres of fuel. I drove with the traffic & no one ever overtook me, but I did overtake a few myself. As you do.

That equates to a little bit less than 11 ltrs per 100klms.

I drove from Mackay to Gin Gin where the fuel warning light came on at around 560 klms. At 564 klms I put 62 litres of fuel in the tank. If the tank holds 72 litres, then I should have been able to achieve around 650 from that particular part of the trip.

I was pulled over on the way up & asked why I was doing 121 kph by the law. I explained how easy it is for the speed to "creep up" sometimes & was told to watch my speedo "instead of the road" & let off with a warning !! Unbelievable but true.

This car of mine has been trouble free & I have done some 12k since buying it at the start of March. I have always wanted one & love driving it but will be advertising it soon to buy a Kombi for a trip around OZ.

I am flying down to Melbourne to watch the Lions beat Collingwood & will do a proper advertisement for the Z when I return.

    economy

when i first got my car and it was running like a piece of shit it was getting about 6-7kpl, since, thanks to this forum mainly i have cleaned and tightened etc, a few bits and pieces, and now cruising on about 110kph i get just over 10kpl, when i give it a bit of stick that drops to about 5kpl all in all i think its quite economical as i regularly (at least once every two weeks) do a 400km round trip to albany.

1990 TT Auto 2+2 - normally about 15l/100km around town. Just back from a 500km trip down the Great Ocean Road to Lorne/Wye River and back. Mainly cruise control on Geelong Road right on 100km/hr (there's too many fixed cameras to do otherwise). Rest of the time with O/D off. Average 13.08l/100km or 21.70mpg.

The GOR as many probably know is now max 80 km/hr. But you can still have some fun at that speed. There only seemed to be about 2 places to pass between Torquay and Wye River. Of course passing anything in a TT with the sweet torque is fun.

Temp on the open road about 80 deg celcius on an accessory gauge. Round town more like middle 80s to 90s. Runs very sweetly at the lower temp.

So comparing careful driving with normal, not a lot of difference. But given it's head I'm not sure what sort of figures you could plunge down to.

400 k if I give it a bit (same driving conditions)

    What about yourself?
