i tryed 2 run a wire from pin 105... to the injector... and test with a test light to no avail. the 12V continuality test worked...12V...i am lost. guess i should take it 2 someone . i dont c how the wire could b broken anywhere...looked good at both ends..... only other test i can do is swap ecu's but i cant get another to test... ryan
Clarification needed please So you got 12v at pin#105? Continuity test is via ohms testing to see if the wire from pin#105 to injector 5 is ok. If all else fails try another ECU. Never seen a code 51 but lack of may indicate an ECU fault
Time for plan 'B' Try another ECU. Bear in mind it may still be the wiring loom, connector or injector... another ECU should prove it either way.
I remember a little while back.... someone was selling an ECU cheap with a stuffed injector driver. Maybe the possibility of the ECU being U/S ain't so remote after all. Also, when the injector connectors where replaced, the ECU may have been spiked in the process. I have changed a couple of sets of connectors now and I always disconnect the ECU for the chance of this happening.
well yeh guess it is time for plan "B" well....hm...i didnt unplug the ecu so thre is a real chance that has occured. oh well...perfect timing to go to a microtech...if i had the $$$...
well Plan B worked!! put in new ecu and hey it was like magic all 6 cyl fired and roared! dont have ne clue as 2 why the last one failed but at least it is fixed! thankyou to all the replyed...it helped greatly now im off to enjoy my z again:thumbsup: ryan p.s is there ne1 on this forum who can socke ecu's?
