Hi guys, i am planning to do my plenum pull soon (made sooner by some bad news about my CAS) and I was wondering is there something like a standard list of things that should be done during the plenum pull? I am sure I have read one somewhere anyway, so far I have: - Bypass the coolant hoses - Replace coolant/PCV/fuel hoses - Polish da plenum for some bling - I also have to replace a CAM - Have fuel injectors ultrasonically cleaned Anything else? Most importantly though how much of what size hoses do I need? Best place to get the stuff? I want to get everything well in advance so that it is all ready to go when i find the time to do it. Thanks!!:thumbsup:
Answers >> Hey Scott after my recent removal i can say that this article in the tech section helped heaps PLENUM PULL it also tells you what hoses you need, Other things that u may need are the >> IACV hoses and PCV's aswell as the whole PCV hose kit as you stated i obtained mine through Concept Z in the US and it is much cheaper than getting it in Aus, also another thing to do is replace all of your fuel hoses as well.. and you will need to get a gasket for the plenum once again the cheapest way is to get them from the US they are heaps cheaper. apart from that you have covered mostly every thing that you need, otherthan that the tech article will be your bible... and take heaps of pictures, cause it makes it a hell of a lot easier when your putting everything back together... this hoses connected to the something.. the other hose is connected to the other thing... the plug here's connected to my wrist watch.. uh oh..
Shopping list... (Best to get these from Repco or where?) Plus the PCV hose kit from CZP Plus IACV hoses (what size are these and where?) Plenum gasket from CZP
how about? bored throttle bodies and honed plenum??? or maybe the rest of the system will just be a bottleneck for this type of modification?
Dammit I just want to make a shopping list with all the gear I need on it, how much and the best place to get it all. - O2s (where?) - heater hoses (where, what size? how much?) - gaskets (where, what size? how much?) - P/S supply hose (where, what size? how much?) - 4 feet of 6mm fuel line or water hose 3 feet of 6mm vacuum line 2 feet of 4mm vacuum line (where and how much?) - the PCV hose kit from CZP - IACV hoses from CZP - Plenum gasket from CZP Is there additional fuel hose required? If so where what and how much?
Suggested change to your shopping list Get about 2metres of 8mm (or 5/16") high temp hose (instead of 4 foot of 6mm). This will give you enough to do the turbo coolant lines as well. Note: The 6mm is a real tight fit and could split where it stretches over the pipework. 8mm is an easy fit and secure with worm drive clamps. (Get about 2 dozen)
A couple of metres of fuel hose will be enough to replace to & from the filter as well as all the sections around the injector rails and damper, etc. Totalrubber is OK. Rated to 20bar

Does anyone have anything else to add? I am thinking that if we can get a "standard shopping list" for when doing a plnum pull, and with it a list of things to be done whilst you are there, this would serve as a valuable tool for future reference.:thumbsup:
