[/B][/B]Way back in September 1988 I was walking the streets of Paris with my wife and parked on the side of the street was this stunning looking sports car. I stopped and admired this car. Beautiful work of art I thought. Looking over the car not a badge to be seen. Nothing any where, not on the calipers, not on the exterior or the interior to identify it's origins.
Ah ha I thought it must be a new Porsche to replace the 944-968 series.
I looked at this car from all angles.
Back then this was quite a stunning thing, so I took a couple of photo's and then thought nothing more of it. Except that one day when it was released on to the market my curiosity would be revealed.
Time passed and I forgot about it until one day I had the opportunity to buy a 300ZX with a blown motor.
Sitting down gazing at the shape it suddenly dawned on me that this was the same car I saw in Paris.
Going through my old photo albums sure enough there was the car a 2 seater Slick top. Same as the project my mate and I brought.
After going through all the technological data of the car which was pretty impressive back then I became hooked.
Hooked enough to buy another Zed but this one was a 2+2 TT and it was Red with Blue leather and of course it had a blown motor.
Sure they are getting old now like me but beauty lies in the eye of the beholder.
They are like a beautiful woman. Sleek, curves in the right place, and costly to run just like a beautiful woman. And 26 years later I still fancy them.
Thats my story, so what's yours?

Well for me I always liked the 240-260z's when I was a teen. Then in 96 I moved to WA and the first time I look at the z32 I was in car love.
It was for sale at a bargain price of $40,000, and my weekly earnings of $220 a week was not going to get it. And in 2007 I got my first z for $5000, I now have 4 of them. :zlove:

I was at UNI studying design.
The new batch of car magazines were spread out on the table for everyone to pick a car and draw it.
Someone else did a very bad rendering of the Zed, but we could still see it had potential to be a classic.

A couple of years later, (working) I couldn't stretch my car allowance to pay off the new Zed and there was a waiting list, so I bought a Toyota with a plan to save my coins and hope I got a significant payrise the following year.

Didn't work out back then and a couple of years ago the Toyota had a hiccup so that was a good enough excuse to go shopping for a Zed :D

insanely good looking shape, low slung, nice lines, good performance.

hard to believe that some of the early ones are 25 years old now.

when maintained, they have the potential too look brilliant.

Always loved the shape, especially from the rear. I had a 260Z before and loved the look of that but the 300 ZX is the best. The only cars that come close in looks are the E-type Jag which apparently Enzo Ferrari called the most beautiful car ever built, and the Ford GT40 - neither of which I can afford. By the way the GT 40 is called a GT40 because it is 40 inches from the ground to roof. So the Z32 must be even lower at 32 inches right?

Wanted a riceline(r33 to be precise), drove many NA & turbo variants from 90rwkw nuggets to my dads old 350rwkw monster. Two liners i wanted sold, went to have a look at what is now my Z32, drove it and man was i in love. Sounded great, went like hell for an NA and i got it cheap. I'm happy i didn't get a riceline, but i wouldn't mind one right about now :p

When I was looking to buy my first car I wanted a 180sx, always loved the look of them and the cool pop up lights. Then one day my dad suggested a 300. I'd never really thought about them assuming they'd be way out of my price range. Ended up falling in love with the shape and bought one. Loved driving to school in it.

Recently bought a 180sx to fulfil that dream. Not a bad car but definitely feels a lot more basic in comparison to a 300.

    First sight

First saw a Zed in 91 when fitting security screens in Redcliff Qld, was this fantastic silver looking car in his garage and we got talking, he had just bought it for somewhere around 90k as a present to himself, turned out he was a retired circus clown who had invested in sideshows and had quite a few going around Australia, very interesting guy, anyway the car was soooo nice looking but way out of my price range after a divorce (#1) I was driving an old HQ ute at the time, so I have had to wait until this year when my current wife (#3) bought me one as a present,
