This is correct :) I hated the manual, I'm not in this car for going fast everywhere, I'm in this car for cruising about. The manual needed some work, and I wasn't that happy with it so I went back to my reco'd auto. Couldn't be happier. None of you will ever understand me when I say I love the auto but I don't expect y'all too. The auto is so smooth and comfortable...bliss...

Oh and the exhaust note didntake a nice note by the way, which tells me the engine wasnt too happy with the conversion. Didnt sound right to me... I'm sure a factory manual zed is completely different to a converted zed, seeing as the the engines are also different.

NA engines are the same AFAIK, auto or manual makes no difference.

edit: Ordered another last package from CZP to finish my build. Mmmm 28RS goodness :br:

Are they? I've heard somewhere they had different CAM shafts for lower revs torque in an Auto application? It doesn't matter anyway, it sat on 3,600 revs at 110km/h and 3k for 100km/h... Waaay higher than the Auto. I know they have different gear ratios but that didnt seem right? Thoughts?

He's in an NA. But both my NAs have given me right on 2800 at 100km/hr. Makes me want a 6th ;)

+1. I love having the Auto in the Z.

So smooth and relaxing to drive. And when power is required, it doesn't disappoint.

Put Deans old stock NA exhaust on my Zed due to noise complaints from the neighbours those late nights. Not enough sound driving anymore :( :( :(

Yeah so I don't know what others have experienced in a conversion but something definitely was not right... Which made me believe there is more to it than just the manual Alt. Loom and ECU... And yes I did try the auto ECU as well but same RPM's.

It's all back to normal now with a nice exhaust note and correct RPM's.

Sounds like you may have had a different nissan box. But auto to manual is exactly that gearbox, pedals and alt loom.

Is there any other Nissan box that's just bolts up?

How did you manage that? A bit scary...

Can't be anything engine or electrical, it has to be drivetrain. I don't think there is any real chance of it being the wrong box, slipping clutch maybe? The engine sound should not be changing either.
