Oops...... Nice pic, Nice Car..... but my neck was getting sore.......... hope you dont mind the slight adjustment for those of us with sore necks :zlove:
Thanks scott, I think any car in any colour would look tops in the 2000spec OEM Version R setup.:zlove: As BigCol and Ed300zx have point out the whole point of my Z project was to make a replica which looked like it just rolled out of the Nissan Factory so the car is 95% stock looking. Door fillers would not suit the OEM look Im going for. Maybe the Version R OEM Side Skirts will look better from this angel:zlove:
Oops.... Hey Adam I listened to all but bigcol...he was just being a d... with all the abrasive attitude suggesting he knows what I read and what I dont etc (as if you could'nt stick up for yourself I thought? ) If he practiced what he preached he would have read previous that I like all Z's even ones with the stock look. There was no offence intended as stated and it did not warrant such reactive comments as if I was shitting on your car altogether...as the car looks very good overall, it was just that the car did not look right from that angle, regardless whether the intent was a 2k spec stock look or not. It was'nt about the door fillers as much, it was that the gap between the wheel and arch on the front looked large and that the sideskirt looked wide. The picture you posted up just then looks much better, the sideskirt no longer looks very wide. I guess the previous picture had an unflattering angle. (Dont you agree? Or am I the only one? ) I guess one single photo can be the difference between something that looks really good and something that looks horrible. The current pic is much better and takes away the large gap from the front wheel and makes the sideskirt not look very wide as the perspective angle is no longer drawn out. The purpose of this thread is not to start a s...fight, but to just get good pics of any Z's, regret it was taken the wrong way. perhaps we can get back to the good pics :zlove: Sincere Regards Jamie
No offence taken Jamie, I have been on these forums for 7 years now and I have come to accept that everyone has their own tastes and likes in cars and I built my Z exactly how I wanted it to be regardless of how other people may see it. Both photos I have posted were taken by myself and though they do look good I'm far from a professional photographer and I intend to get professional photos take once my Z in its completed state. So yes I can see how at certain angels my cars appearance may not look exactly perfect. I don't believe BigCols comments were intended on being rude because he has an idea of how much time and money I have spent getting my Z to look this way. My project has taken me 6 years to complete and an expected $40,000 has been spent buying new and used parts and a full respray done. I intend to post up a massive build thread which will not only list everyday I spent working on my build but also list every single part I installed, detailing out not just part information but costs, supplier information, order duration visual photos of each part and comparisons so you can see how Nissan might have changed or modified a part to improve the later series over the earlier series Z32s . I want to contribute to this amazing forums as much as I can and help make information easier to find and access, so future owners will save time and money on their own builds.
Happy Snap Quick snap of my rear since I'm celebrating my new magnaflows that were welded on today OMG they sound great! :zlove:
