Ok back ground - Trying a new set up I bridged the amplifier to check it worked (wire between power and remote- I accidentally touched it on the earth while attached to power and it sparked- now I have a electronic feedback coming from my speakers!!! Irritating!!! Any idea what this is ? As it never made it before
Yeah mine always had a very light hardly noticeable one ... Then after sparking/shorting the power on the ground it's alot worse ... :/ no wires were moved or touched- I checked the ground and its fine.. Only thing I can think of is power wire to close to speaker wires (come out same hole) but why did it never make the sound this bad before ! ?
Nope new theory- blew RCA filter. Noise not present when RCA removed this problem being RCA . Trying a external/ in line filter tomorrow morning
I've also got a feedback problem when I first start the car I get a loud pop noise. I've got noise filters behind the head unit and also one before the two amps, any ideas?
Well it's a surge in voltage .. Is it a pop mikey or a whine you get ? The noise filters would only help with a whine wouldn't they ? Not sudden voltage surge "pop"
It's a pop and a whine after that I can deal with the whine, but the pop kills me and anyone else who gets in
Is it a Pioneer Head unit by any chance?? if it is its prob the headunit, sounds stupid i know but thay are very very very common for for burning out a little earth track internally and give all sorts of noise issues.
Yes surprisingly it is a pioneer single din 7" flip out touch screen. But wouldn't the sound be present the whole time even with RCA removed ?
If its a hum noise, its a signal earth problem. If its a whine, its an electrical problem, ususally caused by Altinator or coil/ditributor. Do you have line filters on the power, also try a supressor on the altinator. Seperate the power wires from the signal as you could be picking up induction.
Yes that is true about the whine yet why mine is odd is because the wires were not moved at all and the sound never existed until the ground out. I'm gonna play around today and see what happens
